About Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk
Become the living book, Tractatus de Monstrum, and command a brigade of puppet soldiers as you navigate the twisting passageways of the Labyrinth of Refrain.
When at your base, prepare for your journey by upgrading your brigade! Create new puppet soldiers, assign them different squads and formations, synthesize better equipment, take requests from townsfolk, and get assistance from Dronya in the form of Witch Petitions.
Once you've entered the labyrinth, be sure to search every nook and cranny as you jump over barricades, solve puzzles, and smash your way through walls to delve further and further downward in search of treasure and rare artifacts. But be careful, the more riches you obtain, the more vicious the dungeon becomes. Can you survive long enough to bring your haul back?
Fight past terrifying monsters by giving orders to your puppet brigade. Change their formation, use special skills, or call for an all-out attack! The battles you face will be challenging, so your success depends on your preparation and your strategy.
Dive into the miasma-filled labyrinth as the Tractatus de Monstrum along with your brigade of puppet soldiers to smite monsters and uncover dark secrets.
Strange creatures and traps of all sorts will stand in your path as you go deeper in the maze. Give orders to your army and crush them with special skills!
Create your very own puppet soldiers, grant them a variety of different roles, and assign them to specialized squads to make your own unique brigade!

I'll crawl through glass and spit up blood to see lesbian moms happy with their daughter and this game lets me do that. It's an immensely fun dungeon crawler with a mature story that revolves around queer women, our struggles, and the pressures of a cruel and patriarchal society and how that twists and contorts people. It's a fascinating story, with a lot of tragedy and loss and strife, but ultimately it believes that happiness can be found and it is worth striving for. Music is great, the artwork is incredible, the characters rich and wondrous, the EN dub is actually really good in this one, stellar game that I will be thinking about for years to come. It's the second game I've ever gotten 100% achievements on and I've been gaming since I was 2, so you know this one is special.4 found this helpful
I'm literally not autistic enough to enjoy this game. That is an extremely tall order. If you really like hyper specific micro optimizations to your 15 character party to squeeze out a mandatory 0.01% additional damage to make sure you're still performing at the level required for the next boss... You STILL MAY NOT BE AUTISTIC ENOUGH TO ENJOY THIS GAME. Listen, sit down, listen to me, These micro-optimizations are not optional. If you don't enjoy spending your playtime working them out you won't be able to progress. The difference between an optimized party and doing what seems cool or interesting is the difference between getting to continue playing and not. This is not a drpg. This is a puzzle game. It's not even "hard" it's not like it isn't clear what needs to be done. The question is... will you do it? Are you actually gonna read all that and then sit down and build your party correctly? I know that you think the answer is "yes"... I tried to warn you.1 found this helpful
First DRPG on NIS? thats a mistake, dont get me wrong, its still fun, some secret boss still manageable. just the farming over and over at same floor for more than 10hours for normal final boss? especially only for XP thats exhausting. thats still excluding for gear, especially for more than 10 puppet formation.

this game is for crazy people.
this is a good game. but god you need to do a lot of grinding near the end. i have lots of minor complaints about the game such as one late dungeon randomly spawning super strong enemies that can take out 1/2 your party. but overall its a fun dungeon crawler. if you have a lot of time to burn, id reccomend it
