✦ AI summary

League of Evil is a challenging platformer with a great soundtrack that some players find enjoyably difficult, though others find the extreme difficulty and level design frustrating due to mechanics like pixel-perfect positioning requirements and the need to replay levels for collectibles. The game's controls can feel janky, and the overall presentation is fairly generic, though some appreciate its straightforward gameplay despite its punishing design.

This game has to be one of the MOST frustrating games I've EVER played in my life! The REAL evil in this game are the level designers for it. ESPECIALLY for the last level for "Welcome to the Jungle". I'd give this game 4 of five stars because the soundtrack is amazing, especially for first 30 levels. Though, what prevents it from being 5 is the DIFFICULTY! You HAVE to play each level twice; One for the 3 star, which is achieved by completing a level with in 5-20 secs depending on the level. The second time is to collect the briefcase. I'd give this game 5 stars IF I COULD COLLECT THE BRIEFCASES WITHOUT COMPLETING THE LEVEL. I love a good challenge, but this is TOO much! IT FILLS ME UTMOST IRE HAVING TO PEFORM "PIXEL PERFECT POSITIONING", ONLY TO DIE AND HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN! Seriously! The Level designers are true LEAGUE OF EVIL!

I think it is a difficult platformer, but enjoyable.

What a strange creation. On the one hand, it seems the developer used literally every possible way to make the game frustrating without being openly evil: zero coyote time, no jump height control, plain unfair hurtboxes. There's even a very strange mechanic about the punch that I only discovered at the very end of the game: you can only punch once after leaving the ground, and it recharges after you land again. Then there's the level design, sometimes putting the trickiest jumps at the end, a blind fall into a trap or a leaper, or bad cycles (have to wait 10 seconds at the start of every attempt for the slow moving platform to move one way and back). The art and sound design is also severly lacking in punch, and it overall feels exceptionally generic. Then on the other hand, it feels really badass to beat a level after studying it through so many attempts. Precision platforming at... well, not its finest, but pretty good nonetheless. And the soundtrack is an absolute banger. I feel that with some tweaks, and a more satiric, clichéd approach to the story, this could be a great hit. But now it's really just massively mediocre.
