Game is flawed from the ground up. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and ignore the negative reviews, but they are 100% spot on. The design, implementation, and general presence of this game are pretty bad. I saw that this game used to be an open world experience without the half-baked level scaling hub world crap it has now. It's a shame the developers did what they did. I would not recommend this game to anyone. It is completely unfun and uninspired. It looks like there hasn't been any updates or communication from the developers in a long time as well, so I have to wonder if this is abandonware already.9 found this helpful
60 FPS cap. Can't rebind WASD. Can't play in window mode.7 found this helpful
If you're craving that classic EverQuest feeling, this game might be just what you need. While it’s not an MMORPG, its hub-based solo and co-op gameplay captures the spirit of EverQuest surprisingly well — from the feel of the mobs to the massive, explorable zones. Combat and progression have a Dark Souls vibe, with zones resetting on death or return, and the dungeon-crawling focus is both refreshing and rewarding. The game has received mixed reviews on Steam, largely due to a shift in design — it moved from an open-world concept to more structured dungeon exploration. Personally, I think the new direction works better and offers tighter, more compelling gameplay. There's also some debate around level scaling, but it’s implemented smartly: as you level up, mobs drop new loot, which adds meaningful replayability. With elements that blend EverQuest, Dark Souls, and Diablo, this is a unique and enjoyable experience that deserves more attention. Don’t let the review score scare you off — if you miss the old-school grind and adventure, this one’s worth your time.6 found this helpful
Game does not have an option to invert vertical camera look. Cannot play a game without that. That coupled with race/gender/class all being locked was a huge turn off. Been following this game since the launch of the Patreon a few years back, and am really sad to see where they brought it from that original idea.3 found this helpful
Bring your own 3 friends, this game is rough, but its that mindless EQ grind you are looking for. Would be nice if it had a heal class, or if my pally heal skill healed me more than zero... but I did have fun.1 found this helpful
So far I have been having quite a bit of fun. It feels a bit like a mix between Diablo and Everquest. While it is different than the original single player experience was, I have still been really enjoying myself. I have tried out the Reaver, and the Paladin, and they both feel unique in their play style. I have still been learning the ropes of the game, but from what I have played, it's been very good. I will update as I play more.1 found this helpful
