A not particularly good and a bit buggy hidden object game. Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (5.0-5).

Despite some technical issues, the game was overall fun to play. OK, the story is foreseeable and somewhat cliche'd, the characters stereotypical, but which HOG is different in that regard? Not many, cause I played A LOT of them over the years. So as an avid HOG player, it's just what it is. The technical issue I had, was, that the Fullscreen option did not scale properly. I only saw like a quarter of the game on screen. I guess it's due to having screen scaling set rather high (175% for my 4K monitor), the game didn't cope with it properly. In the end I had to play windowed, which was rather exhausting. What I liked about the game design and I don't recall having seen anywhere else, is, that you not only have to find items in the HOG scene, but - like half the time - properly place items from your list into the scene. For things like "put a cherry to another cherry" that's easy, but sometimes you had to think outside the box. Like a feather didn't go to another feather or a bird, but to an ink well instead. So that was refreshing. As said, the rest of the game is pretty much as you would expect it, in total that pushes it over into the positive zone.

This is basically Hidden Object version of NiBiRu: Age of Secrets. I'm curious as to why that game hasn't made its way to Steam yet.

My first ever hidden object game played. My first impressions are, over too fast, plot that balloons rapidly as a consequence, non-nonsensical object match gameplay at times, and your knowledge of english names for items will be tested. Also, the game's title is an absolute bait, we see nothing interesting from the said "Lost civilization" beyond your typical puzzles which, tbh, leave much to desire. I'm not impressed, so I assume hidden object enthusiast wont be either. If I were you, I'd look for something with better store reviews, but can't say I didn't enjoy this little experience (2.5h for a full play through).

The game this is originally based on is not one of the best point and click adventure games. It has major pacing issues. This game doesn't have that same issue at all, because it is much shorter. However, the overall gameplay and art that was reworked feels very disjointed. It took less than 3 hours to complete and neither the backgrounds (which were a lot better 10 years prior) nor the hidden object scenes (often object placing, not finding) were very fun. There are hundreds of other hidden object games to get your fix. Skip this one.
