Lost Valley of the Frog King

I have always enjoyed James Smart's games and this is no exception. I beta tested The Cursed Oasis for him and that was a blast! I will say up front that he didn't ask me to do this review nor have I ever received any freebies. This is a walking simulator/boys own adventure as you try to find multiple collectables. Lots of walking as you try to find 10 orbs, or 10 temples or fairy rings etc in each level. And let me tell you, some of the objects are hidden in some very sneaky positions!! So quite a bit of patience is required as you try to track the artefacts down. The graphics are colourful, but fairly basic. The music score and sound effects were exceptional from composer Nicholas Singer. There are multiple environments and lots of surprises around every corner. Be sure to check all the caves and walk through waterfalls. I didn't encounter any bugs. A few warnings: There is no save mid level. Any collectables that you found will not be saved, but achievements are not lost. Secondly, your character moves very fast and there is a slight head bob. Nice walking sim. Nice Dev. Nice game all round!

Was a nice game however there were definitely some annoyances with it; not having any settings was pretty bad especially with how loud the game opened up at (you have to use windows volume mixer if you want to lower it) The game was also just extremely repetitive not just the things your collecting but the biomes as well it was more just making it harder and harder to see. But overall it was an ok experience as the areas were genuinely quite pretty Id say 6/10.
