Surprisingly fun. There is already a pretty huge variety of upgrades available to direct your character's growth. Weapon variety is also solid. Maids have their own unique personalities, strengths and weaknesses, all of which work well together and serve to make them feel distinct. Each weapon is often part of at least one set, opening the door to multiple combinations that can augment your build (the sets themselves aren't crazy game-changers, but they can stack up nicely). The dev team has been great about posting what they're working on and putting out updates at a good pace. They've added maps + an endless mode, overhauled the maid lounge (where you handle meta-progression and so on), added more unlockable characters, and across multiple patches I haven't run into any bugs. The story is enjoyably ridiculous, and there's just the right amount of it to avoid killing your momentum (plus there's a skip button). The perspective is more zoomed-in than what we're used to with survivors-types, but the pacing, encounter spawns, and map layouts all make it work. Most of the in-game music slaps, though I'm hoping we get the option to select our combat track(s) at some point. The spicy …3 found this helpful
I've been attacking it on and off for the achievements. So far I do like it, though I'm greedy for more meta-progression and stuff in general as is usual for me. The gameplay is fairly standard for this genre, but that's not a bad thing, and the game runs well which is always good. Music's fairly catchy and the art style is pretty cute. Honestly, overall I'm pretty happy about the game in general, definitely gotten my money's worth so far. I like that each character has unique skills, though some are certainly far stronger than others. The weapons you can take all have scaling with stats too and some come with special bonuses too, so build variety is decent. I like that defensive builds are actually viable in this game; a lot of the ones in this genre harshly limit damage reduction and dodge, but this one doesn't. :3 Also FYI my favourite is playing as Genius, spamming turrets and watching everything die while I stack dodge/DR hehe. My only mild complaints are that it takes a while to get 10 wins for each character for the achievements, and that to me it feels like normal stages end right as you're getting your build going and endless mode ramps up too fast. Brotato if he anime. Just as fun as the game it's inspired by. That fox is a schizophrenic
vampire survivors but maids. T's good.
They need to implement a patch *wink wink* but other than that, pretty good game
Gameplay wise, it is like Brotato: You choose a stage, each one having a unique boss, and having a difficulty level that unlocks as you beat previous stage levels (beating a game in normal unlocks hard, et cetera). You choose a character, each with their own specialization and abilities, and you choose their starting weapon. You are put on a field, enemies come at you. You collect drops from enemies to use as currency and level up. Level up let's you increase one stat (speed, health regen, et cetera) of three randomly chosen stats once the level is over. The level is timed like Brotato, with currency being picked up after the timer is up. I don't think that the game has a bank mechanic like in Brotato. Once the level is over, you can buy weapons and items, and yes, like in Brotato, items synergize to give you an increase in effects. Unlike Brotato, there is a metacurrency that you can gain by working through levels, and you can use this currency to upgrade your maids (you characters, that is) in general, or give individual maids specific upgrades in their upgrade tree. Each maid's has upgrades that enhances their special ability, their dodge, or their class abilities, i.e., the mai…
