The new Metroidvania title from OP. Although it has shifted to a top-down perspective this time, the solid gameplay remains as excellent as ever. The most standout features are the freshly introduced firearm mechanics and the fluid transition between attacks. With a more accessible difficulty curve compared to previous titles and a strong focus on QoL, this game is highly recommended for newcomers to the genre.

This is a well-crafted masterpiece where the world-building, combat, and collection elements—the core essentials of the genre—are solidly structured. If you are familiar with this genre, we highly recommend starting on Hard difficulty.

This is a pretty good top-down metroidvania. I beat it on Hard for my first playthrough and it wasn't too bad. However towards the end of the game the difficulty certainly does rise rather abruptly. I'd say my biggest complaint was with parrying. You can parry everything almost, even projectiles. There lies my complaint. Parrying a projectile sends it back at the attacker and does really terrible damage to them, so little it's not even worth bothering with. I think parrying projectiles back at the enemy should get a damage boost once it's reflected.

The game is rather nice after a few patches to smooth out the rough edges. It has plenty of well thought out boss fights and gives player's control over the pacing of the game. Another great entry from Orange Popcorn. I'm just hoping it doesn't mean the HunterX trilogy is discontinued.

A "Soulvania" game featuring adorable maids. It features a streamlined and clean integration of Soulslike systems and general Action RPG elements. However, "simple" doesn't mean "shallow"—the combat, exploration, and collection are all designed with surprising depth. While it requires some mechanical skill, it is highly recommended overall.
