Unfortunately, there are rather a lot of wizards. If you want to join the Majestic Few, be prepared to enter the Majestic Trials.

Majestic Trials is a turn-based fantasy tactical game where you must compete in increasingly challenging trials to earn your place within the Majestic Citadel.

To succeed you will need help. A variety of creatures, mundane, magical and monstrous will be available, summoned with your magic or found and 'befriended'. Use their abilities to scout the area and combat your opponents and their servants, avoiding confrontations that could otherwise bring a swift end to your efforts to join the Majestic Few.

Discover forgotten spells to improve your character, find valuable and powerful treasures and try to prevent your opponents from doing the same. Each trial provides opportunities to improve yourself before the next trial, assuming of course that you survive that trial! You will need to explore every nook and every cranny of an area thoroughly.

 • Choose a wizard to play from a large selection and customise their starting spells.
 • Enter varied trials within unique fantasy locations with different challenges and opponents. Face zombie pirates on creaky docks, scuttling giant spiders in dank caves, skeletal warriors in abandoned fortresses and much more.

 • There are dozens of different types of creatures to be found and befriended or summoned with your magic.

 • Use the terrain features in a trial to your advantage. Hide behind trees or set them on fire!
 • Discover new spells and find useful treasure to help improve your character between trials.

 • Improve your wizard the way you want to after a successful trial.
 • Do favours for the Majestic Few. They don't all like each other and none of them want to be the one who loses their place to which-ever wizard comes out on top in the trials.
IN A WORD: MAYBE

IN A NUTSHELL:

WHAT TO EXPECT: Indie made. Old school look and feel. Campaign of 13x trials or a single one. Table-top style adventure mixed with dungeon crawling gameplay. Fantasy setting. Lite rogue-like structure. Spellcasting main character. Customisation of 6x stats and a repertoire of spells. Party turn-based tactics with emphasis on magic and ally attacks. Lite RPG elements, with XP spent on stats and spell-casting capabilities. Collect loot to reverse-engineer into spells. Large bestiary of creatures to charm, summon or kill. Retro hand-drawn visuals and midi sound-effects. Lite dynamic elements add some replayability. Single-player only.

ACHIEVEMENTS: Straightforward. Requires multiple replays. STEAM SUPPORT: Trading Cards. STATUS: Released but needs some QoL and more features.
Magician's Adventures
Explore a strange world.
STORY
Missing.
GAMEPLAY
Gameplay is a turn-based game about exploring the world. Choose your magician and his skills. Let's start exploring the world. A distinctive feature of the game, which clearly caught my eye, was the high slowness and incomprehensibility of what was happening. Consider the pros and cons of the game, sum up.
PROS:
+ Simple but cute graphics. + Good music and sound accompaniment. + Many types of spells from the magician.
WHAT CAN BE BOTH A PLUS AND A MINUS:
+- Very boring to play. It's all very slow and drawn out. Perhaps some fans of step-by-step games like to play so much, so I don’t write clean cons.
CONS:
- Explicit technical not detected. Besides, it's boring to play.
CONCLUSIONS
Maybe someone will like the game. I couldn’t really figure it out - it’s too boring, but there is a suspicion that the game is good and it’s about me, so I like it. Using a limited set of memorized spells your wizard is dropped into a hostile environment and must survive long enough to complete their objective and extract from the battlefield. Your wizard is your fragile mobile command center. Your only arsenal are the spells that you bring with you and the consumables that you loot in the arena. Do you bring thunder and lighting and attempt to smite your foes from a distance? Do you attempt to befriend your weaker-minded foes and get them to do your bidding? Or do you summon an army to scour the land before you? There's a real diamond hidden in the mechanics of this game and its action economy. Without investing experience into unlocking additional spell slots, you start with 16 available spells. Furthermore each summon spell has a maximum amount of copies you can bring with you. Most summons are more than physically capable of putting a hurt on an enemy wizard, but there are so many threats in the arena and you don't start off knowing where those enemy wizards are. Let's examine Summon Giant Bat, you get to memorize three of these to deploy. They behave like flying camera drones made of balsa wood with amazing line of sight and ab…

A retro indie game with some nice features and familiar feel for those who have played older games. The maps have had some thought put into them and I've enjoyed playing it so far. Only complaints as such would be that it would be nice to have a difficulty setting and some of the sounds are a bit harsh. I've not played it for long so far but I'm sure I will play more.

Honestly, this game feels really weird. In the short time I played it here is what happened. - I ended up moving a goblin into my character, which caused my character to become a goblin, and then the goblin to become an unplayable copy of me. - I could not find the portal..... it doesn't really explain how to find the portal. - I found out to effectively play I need to control a ton of allies at once, like 6-20.... this gets tedious IMMEDIATELY. - The gameplay was repetitive, the GUI was incredibly messy, and this just feels like it never left early access. = only 1 cat in the menu actually meows. (The developer has informed me the meowing cat is actually supposed to be an easter egg, hence the others not meowing) - the sound quality, as seen in the trailer even, is terrible This game just does not feel good to play, I don't see any reason for someone to buy it, im sure the creator put a lot of heart into it, but it just isn't good.

Awful control scheme where you lose selection of your character/unit if you click on any square/tile that you can't move to or don't have enough action/movement points. Half the time you don't know if you misclicked or are just out of action points. Especially since important stats such as action/movement points and health are in the corner of the screen instead of having some indicator next to your character. Would work much better and gameplay would be faster with typical rogue-like tile by tile movement instead of being turn based. Or at least have unlimited action points until an enemy is sighted. Also, attack animations are needless too long.
