Matanga is a very poorly made first person horror/adventure made with flipped Unreal Marketplace assets. Gameplay involves wandering around some forest campsite in the dark and collecting bricks. Yeah, me neither. The true horror behind Matanga is the translation. It's some of the most badly garbled English I've ever seen. To enhance the nightmare of reading the badly translated gibberish, the implementation of this asset flip filled game is an atrocity, as you lurch around the camp like the Hunchback of Notre Dame with a sore leg, the bobbing is sure to make you queasy. And collecting bricks... I'm sure there's some purpose to it all. Maybe. The most funny thing about this mess is that the only positive reviews for the game are in the same garbled, badly translated English as the text in the game. What a strange co-incidence!

Matanga it’s a really bad game, it's just one of the most frustrating games I have ever played it's made by the same people that made Blackberry and it's somehow even worse than that game, but now the story. A young guy has lost his girlfriend as they went camping, he must find her while avoiding the deranged cannibal lurking in the woods. Okay the likes, the graphics are okay same as the BlackBerry game. The monster design is okay nothing I haven't seen before. Okay is this game scary, no despite one jump scare the rest of it isn't scary at all not even a little intense. The voice acting is okay, it's in Russian but I don't mind at least it's better than that robotic Google translate nonsense. Okay the dislikes, the gameplay is really bad basically you have to go through two labyrinths and a dark forest just to beat the game, problem is everything looks the same and you're wandering around for what feels like hours wondering where the hell you're supposed to go. The cannibals also freaking annoying because he can take huge chunks of your health if you don't get him off quick enough and he's pretty fast, the mazes are stupidly annoying to go though as I have said they all look …

This was just bad. not scary, the bobbing and turning navigation was just annoying, sounds are meh. the brick deterrent didn't really do anything, not that it was needed cause the "enemy" AI was kinda a push over. kinda wish i didn't take so long to play so i could get a refund. Not anywhere near the worst game I've played but definitely on the list
