Our story begins in the far future, on a space mission to intercept a comet that can open wormholes through space and time. When your ship and the crew are sucked in and thrown backward through time, you awake from cryogenic suspension in 1182–at the height of the Third Crusade.
Trapped in the past, you must choose sides in the mech war between Saladin's Caliphate, the Catholic Papacy, and Genghis Khan's Mongolian Golden Horde.
Will you search doggedly for the rest of your crew or focus your energies on helping one of the factions in the war that rages around you? Do you seek to unite a divided land? Or use your advanced knowledge to gain wealth and power for yourself?
Along the way, you may meet historical figures such as Saladin, fight off attacks from the notorious order of Assassins and the secretive Knights Templar, or even take part in a grand tournament of mechs!

the stats are nonsensical and feel as if they do nothing, it punishes you for not being good in one thing terribly. I have restarted the game multiple times with different approaches, but it punishes you for not raising a particular stat, god forbid you play a mechanic or specialize in anything in particular. Cause even if you do, its still apparently not enough. I liked the idea of the story and history, but the execution is very much so infuriatingly not worth it.
10/10 novel. Great writing, powerful choices, and characters to remember! Little bit short to my taste, but that's just immense feeling of nostalgia, left after the epilogue. It's hard to let go this story and the characters. This game is one of those, that you don't want to replay after first walkthrough, because it was magical, and will be remembered.

The game has a very intriguing setting and although it does start a bit slow it does manage to improve after the first chapters. The choices you make do matter somewhat and the game does have decent replaybility. The ending is a bit abrupt and sudden but it's still satisfying if you play your cards right.
