About METAL GEAR SURVIVE
Survive in an alternate universe by scavenging resources, crafting gear, and building a base camp while mastering stealth and exploration across hostile terrain. Team up with three other players in co-op missions to defend against creature hordes using strategic fortifications and coordinated tactics.
METAL GEAR SURVIVE is a spin off from the main METAL GEAR SOLID V story that takes place in a strange alternative universe.
Create your own character and learn to survive. Scavenge resources, craft weapons, build a base camp and explore the unknown while developing the survival skills necessary in this hostile environment.
In CO-OP mode, assemble a team of four players to infiltrate and defend areas from hordes of creatures. Place fortifications and defensive weapons strategically to give you an advantage against ever intensifying enemies. Team work and resourcefulness are key in these fast paced co-op missions.

Pretty acceptable as a standalone game, don't get why it had to be a Metal Gear. If you think of it as Big Billy's Zombie Survival, then it'll be more enjoyable. Probably.3 found this helpful
Unfortunately, this game is a disappointment; I felt like Konami stabbed me in the back after playing it. Its gameplay is fluid, but the movements are clunky. Where's the stealth that characterizes Metal Gear? Even the old MSX games do it better, because this is a game that focused on the survival aspect; at least they managed to implement food and hydration, worthy of a survival. But... what about the story? Metal Gear always had great stories to tell with completely memorable characters, but Survive... lacks that; you actually create the character yourself. It's decent, but forgettable. A game that, as a reboot, could have been better if they'd put more effort into it. Right now I'm undecided, but it's disappointing how they ruined the image of such an important gaming franchise. 3/102 found this helpful
