Mimpi is a whimsical adventure puzzle platformer developed and published by Dreadlocks Mobile, formerly known as Silicon Jelly, that stands out through its playful imagination, expressive visuals, and heartfelt tone rather than sheer mechanical complexity. The game places players in control of a small, loyal dog named Mimpi, whose journey unfolds through a series of dreamlike worlds as he searches for his missing owner. Instead of relying on dialogue or text, the game communicates its story entirely through animation, visual cues, and environmental storytelling, allowing emotion and narrative meaning to emerge naturally from the experience. This wordless approach gives Mimpi a universal appeal, making it approachable for players of all ages while reinforcing its fairy-tale quality. Gameplay in Mimpi blends light platforming with environmental puzzles that constantly evolve from one level to the next. Rather than focusing on precision-heavy movement, the game emphasizes interaction with the environment—pulling levers, manipulating objects, altering the landscape, and triggering clever chain reactions to open new paths. Holy cow, couldnt even make it past the first level. It kept kicking me out of the game, crashing, and lagged constantly. I checked the requirements: they were met, and I still had issues. Play at you're own risk I guess

Do not waste your time on this game: just skip straight to the sequel (Mimpi Dreams) and thank me later :) I picked up Mimpi in a bundle thinking I’d found a cute little platformer to share with kids. Turns out, it’s more of a patience test disguised as a game. The core issue? Movement and controls. In a platformer (where precision is kind of the whole point) this thing feels clumsy and unreliable, and I kept falling off platforms wondering if it was my fault or the game’s. Spoiler: it was not always mine. Then there’s the soundtrack… which I lasted about an hour with before muting it entirely. For a game clearly aimed at younger players, it’s an horrible sound track. Combine that with the awkward gameplay, and any charm it might have had just evaporates. I quit after an hour, and this is definitely not making the “games for my kid” list. In my sclae, this takes a 2/10.

It's not bad but either I'm REALLY stupid, or some of these puzzles are incredibly poorly designed.

Great art, completely obtuse and frustrating puzzle design, terrible controls. Wish I could like it more than I do.
