This game has a great soundtrack and a hauntingly beautiful art style and that's about it. Unfortunately, I was constantly irritated with the amount of times the controls are taken from me. The cutscenes and narrating are too frequent and way too slow that you have to wait 8 business days before you can proceed to the next task. But what frustrates me the most are the cutscenes that slowly pans the camera to show you the next area that has zero information in it... If you are a completionist, I suggest you double check everything that you need to collect or return any item before leaving the island. Because the game doesn't have any chapter selection once you finish it. You will have to play the game from the start... Yeah, it's a pain. And you have to go through all that cutscenes all over again. And no skip dialogue for it also. The least they can do was add a skip button for finishing it the first time. PSA, you need to reload the game to get the last achievement. I expected too much from this game. At launch, the game blasted you with a warning: Minute of Islands is a game that deals with complex themes such as trauma, anxiety and destructive behavior towards oneself and ot…1 found this helpful

Great visuals and audio. Unfortunately the game itself is too irritating to play. Frequent narrated cutscenes is how this game tells a story so every time narrator speaks you'll have to put your controller down and wait until she finishes speaking. Add to that zero information cutscenes that show you the next place you're going to anyway. The amount of times controls are taken away from you is just criminal. The environments in this are such (and this seems by intention weirdly enough) that It's not intuitive what is traversable area and what is part of the background/foreground. Though to make this not annoying devs had to put white paint on every bit of climbable surface. So walking from one jizzed up edge to another and pressing jump+up/down is most of the what you would be doing in this game. Game description mentions puzzle platformer but they are so trivial it is more suitable to think of it as story-oriented walking sim. Speaking of story, while I didn't get impression that it's some deep psycho-analytical work, it is serviceable, some people might enjoy it. It is interesting tho that art of this game has lots of these small details spread throughout that it's sometime…1 found this helpful
Jump mechanics are weak but the game is pretty
Overall it worth. I recommend playing. Although, I'd say that if you play on a single sit you will find it repetitive in some point.
