Through the moist, pitch-black darkness the eerie sounds of giant machinery can be heard. In an advanced facility that has been invaded by otherworldly beasts and local inhabitants, the fully-automatic system controlled by the main computer is still operating like a mad man. Awakening inside an abandoned laboratory, the green, ambiguous lifeform MO discovers that it not only has to face an extremely hostile and sinister environment, but it also must face humans who, having been taken over by alien parasitic plants, are now stuck in the endless limbo between death and rebirth.
What's more, there seems to be an eerie presence that's watching all of this from the shadows.
After groping around for clues, MO gradually becomes aware that it is responsible for a mission of immense importance. Under the guidance of the mysterious mutterings in its ear, MO is able to overcome one obstacle after another.
Who caused this disaster? And on this path that leads to answers for every unsolved riddle, what sorts of trials and tribulations lie ahead?

a cute little gem that can be a collectors nightmare at times but is a blast all around <3

Truly an indie hidden gem that went under the radar. This game deserves more recognition as one of the best puzzle platformer adventures games.
This was a good game with a very interesting story and world building. I'm a little annoyed that I missed one collectible somewhere and at times I was frustrated with the controls, but overall I enjoyed the game.
Gorgeous pixel art/animation, beautiful music, a compeling nerative, and fun action/puzzle platforming. I can't recomend this game enough.
Consindering I bought this game after seeing 10 seconds of a trailer back then and only finished it now...MO:Astray is an extremly interesting and immersive game. The storybeats are a bit losely thrown together towards the end and yet it tells a great story about humans, their ideals and what we are capable of with great leadership (well or...really terrifing one depending on how you look at it) I liked the game a lot and it goes on my list of "inpirational games" that keeps growing day by day.
