About Monster Tower Quest
You play as a hero on a quest to reach the top of a mysterious tower. The tower is filled powerful monsters that stand in your way. To defeat these monsters and progress through the tower, you will need to use your puzzle-solving skills to match 3 or more of the same colored gems together.
As you make your way up the tower, you will encounter a variety of different monsters. By matching the correct gems and power ups together, you can unleash powerful attacks that will help you take down even the toughest foes. Each gem you match is kept, and can be used to create more monters. Collect monsters to build up a team of powerful allies to help you on your journey.
This game combines the match 3 puzzle gameplay with the fun of collecting monsters!

"Monster Tower Quest" is a poorly made JRPG-lite with "Candy Crush" ripoff match-3 combat elements, apparently designed for mobile phones. Case in point, the game doesn't even properly support keyboard controls. Do amateur developers even know about software testing? What do you do in the game? Move around a bit, then play pointless and punishing match-3 games with no real motivation to bother. This game was a failure on Steam Direct. While I couldn't find this on the mobile app stores, everything about it looks and feels like it's a mobile app designed for mobile phones... for PC gaming enthusiasts, it's not going to give you a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That alone is enough to disqualify this from any recommendation. We don't spend thousands building gaming rigs so that we can pretend they're iPhones and play iPhone games and mobile apps. This game fails on the visuals because of the use of incredibly lazy, ugly pixelcrap. The developer would probably argue this is a "deliberate artistic choice" but we all know it's because the developer was incapable of producing anything better. The game looks very poor compared to professionally developed games. Whether the …1 found this helpful
It's a simple enough game, match 3 gems and you score an attack, line up more or combo the gems for more damage, and if you continue chaining after winning on that level then you gain bonus exp. EXP levels up your monsters which increases their attack and literally nothing else, again, simple game. I am a little unsure on the mechanics of the non-gem items (Bombs and skulls) You can line up any kind of bomb with another 2 bombs of any type to set them off, but you have to be careful not to let it hit a skull or you will lose a monster for that run...which doesn't actually mean anything unless it would cause you to lose the whole game. You can also set off a bomb by having it be right next to a gem chain, which is nice. You don't lose monsters permanently, and you only lose the EXP you would have gained on that fight, so there is no reason to not just rush headlong into the dungeon and carelessly lose in order to gain more EXP and progress in the dungeon. You can always restart from the first, or last floor, you were on. After you've deliberately run headfirst into failure, return to the shop and spin for stronger monsters. (I think the stronger ones level slowly, but presumably ha…
it's a match-3 game
3/10 A match-3 game with some combat/create collecting metagame. Good: - free So-so: - match-3 with typical bonus tiles - done a million times everywhere, including mobile - gfx are pixelated and look kinda okay, for a free indie game - music is so-so. Some of the tracks don't really fit a game setting - the "combat" thing is purely decoration since you don't control anything. When you match 3 objects of some color (e.g. red), the creature with that color will "shoot" at enemies. But the enemies never fight back or anything. You can lose a level by simply making a wrong swap on the board which doesn't create a line of 3 object of the same color Bad: - mouse is not supported! Instead it's a weird selection of keys. E.g. instead of Esc it's Tab that brings up the menu. Space acts as "confirm" (should be Enter). Shift as "cancel" (should be Escape?) Actually, it's just ridiculous. If it's a PC game, it should use normal visual dialogs with clickable buttons - (worst of all) you need to move a "selector" with arrow keys, press Space to select an object, then move the selector to the nearby object, then press Space to swap the 2 object. Cmon, it's the first time I'm seeing such a clu…
