Noir Punk

"Noir Punk" is a small and simple 2D side view adventure game with amateurish 2D papercutout style graphics and a somewhat cringey attempt to recreate a film noir feeling through the medium of rather crap graphics and presentation. It doesn't work, and the game was a big failure on Steam Direct. The game is quite short, and can be run through in just 30 minutes. The lack of content here makes it hard to suggest it's worth spending the time to add to your library and download. The graphics aren't great, 2d paper cutout stuff that makes South Park look like Rembrandt. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free…

This is a fun, free little detective game. Its simple, short, and straightforward. Recommended.

This game was a damn hoot! Puzzles are on the easier side, the story is good and has some twists, the art is great and the humor is on point. Feels like a Looney Tunes episode. I loved it. Absolutely give this one a try!

A simple game but I enjoyed it and yet found it challenging enough that I didn't breeze through it. So if you're a fan of the Noir PI tropes, it's worth a play.
