About OBLITACRATER

OBLITACRATER is a twin stick shooter where you fight endless alien monsters in increasingly difficult waves on a cute little planet! There is only one goal in OBLITACRATER, increase your score. Each DROP to the planet adds to a single running score. You can end the drop at any time by pressing the BIG RED BUTTON at the top of of the planet which also locks in your score and adds it to your total. There is no end to the number of waves in OBLITACRATER. You last as long as you dare and then get out! NOW HERE IS THE REALLY MEAN PART!!! IF YOU DIE, YOUR RUNNING SCORE RESETS TO ZERO. YOUR LEADERBOARD ENTRY RESETS TO ZERO and you are back to square one. Each time you drop to the planet surface, you risk your entire score, every time. While surviving on the planet surface you have the opportunity to unlock upgrades for your ship. These range from stat boosts like increased move speed to secondary fire modes like rocket launchers, mines or laser bursts. You can also choose to unlock random upgrades, but be warned not all upgrades are friendly. There is no end in OBLITACRATER so remember, ESCAPE! ESCAPE!!! ESCAPE!!!!Gameplay Features

✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's fast-paced bullet-hell gameplay, clean visuals, smooth controls, and satisfying combat against alien waves, with several noting it feels like a solid foundation with good potential for future updates. The main complaints center on confusing upgrade systems that offer unclear choices and irrelevant weapon upgrades, a tutorial that doesn't adequately explain mechanics, and level design where the ship feels too large relative to the planet, limiting maneuverability. Despite these issues, most players appreciate the core gameplay loop and fun factor, though the game would

the upgrade system doesn't make sense. why would I want to choose to remove half my points early on in the game why is this even an option. why is it giving me upgrades for weapons that I don't have. Other than that the game plays looks decent.

There is a lot of potential here but a lot of shortcomings. Giving this a positive review because of value and potential. Some things that come to mind... ship feels way to big or planet way too small. Seems like not much room to maneuver. Tutorial leaves a lot to be desired. Still not sure how the upgrades/downgrades fully work after playing the tutorial twice and the game several times. What is the dead mode?

I enjoyed this game, its fast and frantic! I pop back every now and then to see what has been added in updates and to quickly blast some alien creatures. This feels like a great foundation, I am looking forward to seeing what the devs make of it as the updates continue.

Really fun and fast paced game. The visual style is bright and clean, and I loved the small rotating planet design. Fighting off waves of cute but dangerous alien creatures is super satisfying. The controls feel smooth, and dodging enemy attacks while unlocking new upgrades makes every run exciting. I really liked how you can escape to keep your score or take a risk and keep fighting. That choice adds a lot of tension in a good way. The sound and music are very well done and fit the gameplay perfectly. I had a great time trying different weapons and strategies to beat my last score. The game also ran very smoothly on my system with high FPS and no bugs during most of my session. For something made by a solo developer, this feels very polished and fun. It is simple but has depth and replayability. I can see myself returning to it again and again 💯 Definitely recommendddd ❤️❤️
