Observation

Cool (but kinda confusing) sci-fi suspenseful story about space anomalies. You take control of a spaceship's AI and try to help the human survivor to navigate her way through the ship and discover the truth. The gameplay itself can be a bit confusing and even boring at times, but you're here for the story! Which is also confusing! The story feels great, the mysteries and reveals are awesome, but it's still not that easy to piece together. But yeah, it looks great, and sounds great! I recommend it if you don't mind being confused for most of the time, and just want to enjoy the suspenseful spaceship environments and go through another fairly good story by the creators of [url=store.steampowered.com/app/558420/Stories_Untold/]Stories Untold[/url].

Good game supported by exceptional presentation and an intriguing plot. As a videogame, I wouldn't say that it was a lot of "fun," mainly because you are controlling cameras and solving simple puzzles. However, curiosity drove me forward and ultimately it was a memorable experience. 3/5 SAMs.

TLDR, A shame. A damn shame. Because the premise is good. The initial storytelling - hell, the overall story and mysteries up to two thirds of the game are interesting if you like this genre. HOWEVER, there is one requirement for me to really recommend these stories - and I mean any space / space...horror-ish? / science fiction: The ending HAS TO live up to the story you've been building. It doesn't. It falls flat on its head and left me truly disappointed, feeling like I was walking the path towards something great... only to be met with a handshake and a "congratulations on your 6th place" salute at the finish line. There's a reason authors like Asimov, Clarke and Bradbury are masters at this genre: they tell stories that not only have you hooked and asking questions on every page; they also deliver endings that both live up to and exceed the expectations they guided you to construct within yourself. This just doesn't do that. It provided me a couple answers, the most easy ones I could figure out myself without watching the end scenes, while failing to leave me with enough interesting premises to ask for a sequel. If you want to play a game that has a compelling story and lets you flex your iq, memory and logical thinking at the same time - this is it! Really enjoyed it!

Wow, Observation was great! I love that the space station is so closely modeled after today's, instead of the typical video game "office complex / shopping mall / city neighborhood but in space" All the interactions with systems and hardware feel super authentic - they're obviously simplified and gamified, but the designers really nailed the look and feel of industrial engineering interfaces The story was fun but not excessively overwrought, and the length and pacing were perfect. I really appreciate that there wasn't excessive handholding on the more complex / obscure tasks, but also that there wasn't time pressure, so I could figure out the relationship between the schematic and the thing in peace without having to reload a bunch of times. Decent story, amazing environments, innovative mechanics, short and sweet, play Observation!

A little confusing, and some of the gameplay is a bit tedious; I spent at least an hour of my five on the game going back and forth in the station, trying to find the right door or installation. Despite that, the atmosphere is phenomenal, possibly the best I've seen in a game, and I was drawn in enough to play it to completion over the course of a few sessions. I would recommend it, just don't expect it to become your favorite game.
