Far from the Best Kairosoft game, there are much better ones. But it is also one of the older ones.1 found this helpful
Cute game, love to play without pressure.
You know when I first played Venture Towns because I didn't know I had this game downloaded I thought it was a nice little Sims City game made by Kairosoft... turns out it with was this game but with a fresh new... coat of paint... I guess play this if you enjoy Sim City and ancient Japan i guess?
Cute, extremely quirky, so very Japanese city-builder. Don't like the default controls (console legacy issues), but I can use keyboard/mouse and mostly avoid headaches. It doesn't have as much going on as some city-builders, but that's fine... I don't always want to spend hours building and tearing apart (or reloading) to get something exactly right. Some of the quirky translations are really funny to me, like the "dumpling shop" is for dango, not gyoza (both can be translated as "dumplings" but dango are sweet rice treats on a stick... and pictured on the sign).
Yep it's good
Oh! Edo Towns is one of my favorite Kairosoft games. It blends town-building with historical Japan, allowing you to design a thriving Edo-era village. The customization is great—you can arrange buildings to influence growth and attract different residents. The achievements strike a good balance, being neither too easy nor overly difficult. Managing businesses, homes, and landmarks while watching the town develop is really satisfying. If you enjoy city-building with a touch of history, this is a great pick.
