Out Of Hands

Played a fair amount of this game and its demo. The story and mechanics are fantastic and the *Initial* art style really set it apart from the swarm of other roguelike deck builder games out there. However later down the line the developer made the disappointing choice of using genAI for assets throughout the game which, for me, entirely sullies the entire experience. It's a real shame as this project was one of a small handful I've followed from its fledgling stages. GenAI has no place in any art or creative space. Do better,

I love the concept of the game, I live the ideas, visuals, gameplay. When I first say the game I was so excited for it bc it looks beautiful. After spending some time in the game I noticed that some assets are AI generated. Only thing I can saay is that I'm disapointed. The game has such a strong visual identity with alot of creative details and ideas but the use of AI just breaks that. I just couldn't bring myself to finish the game.

Very good game, ambient OST is very immersive ; Combat system is well thought but too easy, just keep attacking, somes strategies that are given to you during the story are just too slow compared to just attacking over and over. Highly recommend this game if you are looking for one similar to Inscryption, it even has a roguelike mode similar to Kaycee Mod. Saw some bad reviews about the use of AI in this game, who cares lmao

Unique combination of story telling and deckbuilding on top of good progression system where the deck is constantly evolving. This game deserves more attention.

I don't know what kind of crack the dev was on when he made this game, but it was trippy AF. At first I felt pretty uncomfortable with all the hands moving around, even considered refunding it. But playing it for one hour made me want to keep it. The gameplay is just pretty great. All the hands mechanics, weapons are awesome, I felt like there are many options how to win and play this game. And after I finished the game I discovered Cortex, which means I can continue playing it even more. So, even though I'm pretty uncomfortable with all the hands moving around and altogether trippiness of the game, it's still a good game to play. The references were spot on!

Really good card builder RPG with deep horror elements and a surreal dream world. Out Of Hands sounds like such a strange concept: you play a person who in their dreams have found their body completely made out of hands. You have to use this hands to use various weapons, most of which are common household items, to fight off various monsters. But despite this... it's a beautiful game with a deep narrative that made me very emotional. Its gameplay loop is also very good, providing a variety of cards to use to suit different strategies. Good game. Had a lot of fun.
