I played Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen for 100 hours. This game is horrible. Graphics suck, gameplay is ass, everything about the game is uninspired. And that's not even the half of it. The game uses egregious monetary practices and they don't even deliver on those empty promises. The game mods have player accounts that they will use to join certain guilds and give preferential treatment (including spawning bosses, player killing you and banning you for player killing their team mates.) There very much is a hidden whale system that almost nobody will openly admit to. There still isn't even a map. People will defend all of these choices but the fact is, they have about 50 players, with a 24 cap of like 100. And those players are split between realms and the PTR. If you do stick around anyways just to try the game out you will eventually realize this game is basically just a 5m server with people power-tripping and abusing GM and PM relationships, and there are no shortage of examples of that. Tl;dr - For only $40 you can beat yourself in the d-ck with a hammer.

unfortunately im gonna give this game a thumbs down, ive been waiting months (more accurately years) for basic quality of life additions to the game like a mail system for example, and while thats been done for some time, they havent implemented yet in favor of holding it behind stupid npc additions to end game zones, because the majority of the surviving player base (of which there are very few) all just sit there and do nothing cus everyone new has quit because they dont have groups to run with, nobody to sell their profession items to and no way to atleast mail it to another of their characters, incredibly boring with a pointless grind and a few of max levels the devs cater to while they ignore their game is dying, DO NOT waste your money like i did

If they can make it work, and get the playerbase back so the games actually playable. Id play it right now. It was fun to run through the levels, meet people, make friends and explore the (at the time i played) VERY rough state world. They ahve far more ideas than they ahve hands and budget though and even with the new PM in charge it seems like their struggling. I give this a "let them cook" / 10. See where it gets to for 1.0. Much of that will depend on getting enough players in to find groups and make guilds to play in. The games true to its roots, but those roots will rot without the player numbers to make its design viable.

I've been following this game since 2014. I originally played EQ and EQOA as a kid, so I've anticipated this game for quite sometime. With that said I've made a handful of characters, remade my OG EQ characters in this world, and got to say I'm hooked. I'm hoping this gets a full release, and this isn't all we get. I highly encourage anyone who is a fan of EQ, or old school MMO's and Classic WoW that this game is what you've been looking / waiting for.
