[h1]Peglin is a triumph in puns and peggle.[/h1] One of the best things about this game is that it's unendingly confident in what it is. This game is a Peggle-inspired roguelike, which shouldn't work but it 1,000% does. It's taken the best parts of Peggle and Slay the Spire and fused them into… this nonsense, and it's wonderful. As someone who's been here since the pre 1.0 days all the way back in 2023, to now with all its polish and new content, I can recommend this game to almost anyone. But just like any game, there's a few things that I think barely hold it back from being perfect. [hr][/hr] [h2]Ponder the Orbs[/h2] I think where Peglin makes itself different from a peggle clone is the impressive collection of different orbs that you can shove into your run. Each character has a wide array of different balls to fire onto the pachinko board, and all of them manage not only to feel unique, but also equally useful given the right build/context. Well, except for the starting "pebballs" that you're likely to get rid of in each run, but even those have their synergies. Like almost any roguelike with builds, Peglin has its fair share of archetypes that each character can build into, …
