I played this game as a teenager in the early 90s and never completed it. I looked for it for YEARS, asked for it at every game store I visited. 20 years later, I found it here on steam and finally finished! It is weird, creepy, and graphic, but the storyline is excellent, it literally stuck with me for 20 years hoping to resolve it. Love this game ,should play it again soon.2 found this helpful
I played in 1995, wanted to re-live the experience. The game was fantastic, just as I remembered. However, when I got to the final chapter; the game froze. My only option was to re-play it. I did not want to re-start all over; as i was to the end. So, just so disappointed this happened. I wanted to continue on and play puzzle of flesh. I can not explain how disappointed I was that I had gotten to the end and the game froze. I would honestly like a refund.. especially how I was so excited to re-live a great reminder from my childhood i would suggest do not waste your time. I also had to start the game over three other times from it freezing up. I completely understand we played it on disc However at the finale, it trying to make me re-start... i was done... My favorite horror game of all time. Played it as a teen and there are scenes in this game that scared me so bad they stayed with me my whole life. Also a real treat if you enjoy FMV games with cheesy acting.
I must have played this 50 times already, still love it. To me, it was such a dramatic turning-point with respect to graphic capabilities in gaming. Just wish this couple would stop buying mansions sight-unseen. They didn't even do a walk-though prior to closing on the property.... Was most obvious when she went into the basement, I was like, "really, lady?"... Regardless, TOP STAR RATING TILL I LEAVE THIS PLANET! :-)
