I think this is a pretty underwhelming and generally OK game and the fact that it has overwhelmingly positive reviews for a game that can be beat in 2 hours is shocking. I played the demo a while back and basically had the same thoughts. But because I've been dying for another imsim to play, I looked at the reviews and figured what the hell.. it was on sale too. Well, I gave it a chance, beat it in two hours and it's the same demo experience I played a year ago. And it's definitely not an "immersive sim". I would call it an arcade shooter with elements of stealth. But not an immersive sim. There's barely any weapons, there's very little variation in AI and enemies, there's no cool tools, every mission is basically the same thing : Kill some targets, oh and optional - kill everyone. The lo-fi aesthetic is basic af. I honestly wish I could turn the VHS effect off but there's not really any graphics controls. The one thing that's good about it is it can be challenging. But other than that, it's not like there's a multitude of different ways one can complete the mission. There's very little immersion as well. Even when you strike your melee against a wall or object, there isn't a sound…2 found this helpful
Interesting concept, cool presentation and good gunplay but... The A.i is braindead, so seemingly dead in fact that I don't believe it actually exists. The level design is mostly inspired in style & design but it's boring to replay and mostly irritating to navigate for the first time. This is compounded when the enemies are basically hit-scan have no other mode other than charge right at you even with their guns and a lot of the time their placements seem like they weren't even thought out properly. The gameplay becomes repetitive very quickly despite it being such a short experience because you eventually realise that using only like a couple weapons is actually viable as all the others just don't perform once the enemies get armour and turrets. Which makes the whole money and buying of equipment feel pointless. Why would I want to use a gun which is just going to make my mission miserable? Why would I want to buy any of the other weapons at all? This is like 80% of the weapons, useless, unless you want a painful experience. The guns are weird with recoil that sends bullets in every direction other than the one your aiming at. The damage is inconsistent with me shooting a guy …
ts fire and shooting the guys is cool satisfying
Hey, this is really really fun! Can't wait for it to be finished!
after the tutorial was ready to call it quits, maybe this game wasn't for me. but i already spent money on it so i kept playing it and after the first real level i was actually having a pretty good time. its a little unpolished but for an indie game in early access i cant really hold that against it. i saw some reviews talking about optimization issues but the game ran between 60 and 140 fps (specs attached) with the exception of the prison level which mostly ran fine but in one area was around 15 fps (albeit it was between 32 and 8 fps, I'm just averaging) but its in early access and will be fixed. overall pretty solid game, a little rough around the edge every now and then, but really good! i look forward to seeing the future of this promising game
It's alright
