Place for Hero

Place for Hero is a game where you are not looking for adventure, but they find you. Players will find a small, cozy world full of surprises. You play as a Shepherd who is in search of a runaway Sheep. Along the way, you will learn the history of a small, wooded village and its unusual inhabitants. You will meet with unusual characters and insidious opponents. You will be immersed in an interesting, dynamic story, at the end of which you will find an unexpected denouement.

"Place for Hero" is a game that feels more like a student project than any fully fledged game. It's short, has woefully bad graphics, isn't particularly fun to play, and lacks polish. What do you do in the game? You're a shepherd searching for lost sheep, encountering strange creatures and facing challenges in a small, wooded village. The game mechanics involve interacting with the environment, and the gameplay is focused on exploration, storytelling, and light combat... none of which works very well. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly "voxel" Minecraft ripoff 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Developers must learn that Minecraft succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. Bad developers see the success of Minecraft, assume it's because of the bad graphics, and try to emulate that success without understanding it. Such is the case with this mess. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game develop…

It's not possible to win the fights. All the enemies seem way overpowered, and there's not even 1 way of healing. Definitely not worth it in my opinion.

Визуальный стиль, хоть и минималистичный, выглядит приятно и не отвлекает от процесса. Есть некоторые шероховатости в балансе, некоторые герои кажутся явно сильнее других, но надеюсь, разработчики это исправят. В целом, игра оставляет положительное впечатление. Это отличный вариант для тех, кто ищет ненапряженную, но занимательную стратегию, в которую можно играть небольшими сессиями. Рекомендую!
