Pretty bad walking sim. The lighting is really poor in some levels and the VHS effect is limited to a square. The levels are too short and simple and I don't think it's possible to beat the final level. You can see everything in about 30 minutes.

I want to like this game. There aren't enough games in this genre (POOLS being an excellent example of the poolroom type of liminal space simulator) and it has potential, but the interface is too frustrating at times. For example, I was stuck in a place that require crouching to progress and it took me over an hour to proceed because even though the settings clearly state that the default key for crouching is L-Shift, it was actually mapped to C (which I only found out by accident when I started keysmashing out of desperation)! I'm also not sure why I can't bring up the inventory or map, unless I'm missing something. Protip: Pressing "P" also disables the default black letterboxes and grainy effects, which I found very annoying. I get that VHS effects are all the rage with the kids now, but everything being squished into tiny 4:3 aspect ratio box while in fullscreen mode really kills the immersion. As for the things I DID like: Collecting the "ducks" (flamingos) is a fun challenge, and I hope that becomes an achievement in the future. The flashlight is also a helpful addition.
