Players appreciate the core mechanics and art style of this turn-based tactics roguelike, particularly praising the generator/consumer unit system and mana-based combo potential. However, the game struggles with balance issues—especially at beginner levels where certain strategies like Ice shields feel overpowered—alongside technical limitations like missing key rebinding, UI clarity problems, slow movement animations, and the harsh penalty of permanent unit loss making runs feel unforgiving and frustrating.

An enjoyable concept, I'm interested in seeing what the full game can do for sure. Having units themselves be generators or consumers is a fun mechanic. The units individually being relatively simple is great, it means they can do something 'big' well. The balance is a little 'stiff' at the moment, at least at the beginner level. Grabbing a bunch of Ice guys to throw down shields is extremely powerful as the fail spiral of losing units is extreme and you have to spend a node to level between battles. Also, units being separated between generators and consumers puts more pressure on the 5 element system to get the right units and not lose anyone. Hard to tell if this is something that I simply must adapt to or I'm hoping will change in the full version.3 found this helpful
Nothing like oldschool pokemons, but still decent tamer game2 found this helpful
A decent tactics roguelike with plenty to offer, but still needs work on balance if it wants to really excel. Try out the demo since it is free. Otherwise I would recommend looking at Into the Breach, Tyrant's Blessing, or Dark Quest 3. +Art style +Turn-based tactics +Variety of monsters to summon +Variety of abilities +Mana system makes interesting choices/combos +Free demo -No key rebinding -Barebones options -No resolution settings -Blurry visuals -No voice -Slow movement -Lacking music -Lacking story -Units don't heal between maps -Can't easily see enemy attack range -Dead units are lost forever -Balance issues -Some minions are just palette swaps -Can't undo place/move -Can softlock where can't reach enemy/attack1 found this helpful
Overall interesting and good concept, but the difficulty is pretty brutal. Losing any primal in your party or choosing ones that don't complement are a quick path to frustrating loss.
Fun game looking forward to seeing more from them!
