I played about 2.5 hours of Red: Flame & Fable and came away impressed, especially knowing it was created as a Champlain College student capstone project. The game has a strong gothic storybook/horror mood, with a distinctive art style and some really memorable creature designs. The cursed animal enemies, infected by the botanical curse, were my favorite part. I also enjoyed the lantern/light mechanic, which adds a nice layer of tension and interest to the gameplay. There are some rough edges in the controls, mechanics, and polish, and the lack of a save system is worth being aware of. But given the scope of the project, those issues felt understandable and did not get in the way of enjoying the concept. Overall, this is a stylish, atmospheric, and promising student project with a lot of creative personality. I’m glad I played it.

Red Flame and Fable is a hard game to explain; the best way for me to summarize it would be that it's the base definition of insanity. Platonic Murder Party has this unique theme in their game where it's so unique and strange the term horror doesn't describe what's in store. This game is a complete mind**** but it fits so well with the theme and occurrences, that it frankly put me in whole other mindset when I played it. The game tells the story of Little Red Riding hood on her trip through the mystical forest on the way to see her abuela, but while the day wears on the forest may not be what you think. I would genuinely suggest this game if your looking for a adventure/platformer game and want that extra spooky whimsy sprinkled in. In all seriousness, I've been looking forward to this game coming out for a very long time! I know some of the developers and how much a labor of love this game has been for them, so it's amazing to play through after all this time. The art has a phenomenal theme about it, which helps to build the fun yet creepy style the team was going for. Having played through the game twice, once exploring everything to find all of the notes and references and…

Was drawn into this game because a friend worked on it, and I'd say it's rather neat! The story is atmospheric and gripping, the artwork is gorgeous, and the moment-to-moment gameplay is pretty good! There are some key issues I think that are worth highlighting, though: 1. Sometimes, it seems that enemies can escape the screen borders of those little ambush sections. 2. The first boss still lets you progress all the way to the right, even before the next-stage trigger appears. 3. Quite a few battles will have enemies attacking you while you're reading dialogue (thankfully you don't take damage). Still a little weird, though. 4. The music, as nice on the ears as it is, might need a bit of a pick-me-up. 5. For sure, fix some misaligned visual button indicators, and maybe add a couple more of them. All that said, this game (and the developers behind it) definitely show potential! I enjoyed this short and simple game for what it is, and now I guess I'll try for 100%. Keep up the good work!

I helped make this game so I give it 10/10 stars! (sorry for the bugs, we did our best to squash them, but they are immortal like cockroaches) Thanks for playing!

Pretty good game plays similar to that of a D&D campaign, a few bugs here and there as well as not being able to save progress however its a short game so not too big a deal. love the art work except the main character looks like a png animated but for a game like this not too big a deal. over all has vibes of a red ridding hood story with a little bit of last of us vibes good game would recommend.
