At the start of each level, there will be screen markers on the left showing how many characters you'll be controlling. Generally, I find that you'll want to go from top to bottom, as that seemed to be the best order. Time manipulation puzzle games, while nothing new, are few and far between. That's no wonder, really - it requires considerable creator skill (and playtesting) to ensure your sweet puzzles are not broken and hacked tenways by creative players, and your carefully designed brainwhacking exercise doesn't turn into an exploit-fest. Yet, there are a few great games out there - and "Replay - VHS is not dead" is certainly one of them. In a slightly inane backstory, our hero Harvey discovers a VHS rental store, run by a dazzling girl, who turns into a she-demon if someone returns the tapes in less than mint condition. Harvey gallantly (and bravely) rents four tapes, then on the way home he gets struck by lightning, when the tapes gain a strange electric glow. At home, he tries to fix the damage - that means, he's shaking the TV in despair when the movies all turn up wobbly; and eventually, the TV sucks him in, and he can fix the movies by re-acting their scenes. After all this romance and drama, we get a game where we need to complete scenes by getting our characters to predefined spots. Surprised this doesn't have enough reviews for a score. Found this in my large collection of games I haven't played. Great casual puzzle game for fans of Misadventures of PB Winterbottom but a little simpler.

This game has good replayability, as it's good platformer :)

If it was only up to the innovative mechanics, this would probably be slightly less commended; however, [i]Replay: VHS is Not Dead[/i]'s biggest strength, and one of the reasons that it is one of the better indie gems of the puzzle genre, is its balance. While a challenging game, it never becomes aggravating enough to throw the gamepad out of the window, and the very repetitive and trial-and-error-heavy gameplay is in perfect equilibrium with the enjoyment that the numerous grey matter-twisters that are in store can give - with everything packaged in a colourful, retro bundle of fun, and for quite the price. Great Puzzle game.. Really enjoyed it so far. It's not easy to get the gold medal, but i would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys platform of puzzle games.
