I absolutely adore this game, I am close friends with the narrative script writer, sound designer and level designer of this project, and without bias, I can safely say that while this IS challenging, at least for me, I did greatly enjoy the game, voice acting is solid, unique story concept, and you stay engaged throughout your playthrough!

A well made game with fun music and interesting mechanics. Though short, the added challenge in the achievements makes for a genuinely enjoyable game.

Rock stars was a pretty fun experience for the most part the world was cool and the art-style is nice the combat was a bit wonky for me and the final boss was the most unfunny part of the game. She felt way too fast and things were not clear enough on when I should stage transition Or the hit-box or her attacks. The grapple needs some fine tuning as I can accidentally grapple behind me. The voice acting could use work but its not the worst in the world. The sound track was great I loved it Overall not a bad game for free or for a first game by Glass Record Studios.

"RockStars!" is a student project that has been published on Steam Direct. Student projects might look better than amateur shovelware, but they aren't real games. This is just a glorified homework assignment. It lacks the depth and value you get from professionally developed product because it was made for a grade, not for players. The students made a third person platformer with grappling hook mechanisms and some weak, lightweight combat mechanics that would seem more at home on consoles than on PC. The plot follows hippies flying around in a ripoff of the Winnebago from Spaceballs The Movie, but with more of a 1970's psychedelic theme. And of course as usual, while student projects carry the hint that they could have been a real, genuine, full, successful game, this is just a tease... an unpolished demo that will never be completed, is a short, unfulfilled game that's unmaintained because the students got their grades and moved on. Schools shouldn't be using Steam to show off student projects. It might be fine for the school's marketing, but it clutters the Steam store with pollution... we have to sort past all these short student tech demos just so we can find real, full gam…
