Battle, collect and upgrade over 50 Rogumon in this creature-collecting roguelite. Unique items, moves, and abilities ensure that no two attempts will be the same. Enter the fray alongside your team as you together seek to escape from the eternal prison of Torment.
Key Features
- Build your team: Ally yourself with the Rogumon you encounter. Train them, teach them new moves, and find equipment to strengthen them.
- Adapt to Torment’s shifting obstacles: No two escape attempts will be the same. You’ll be forced to experiment with – and fight against – different Rogumon on each run. With adaptability, quick thinking, and a little luck, you just might be able to create an unstoppable team.
- Join the fight: Your Rogumon aren’t simply for you to command; you’re all fighting for your freedom together. Whichever character you choose will grant a passive to your whole team and can enter battle with powerful signature moves. Just be careful – if they go down in battle, you’ll be dragged down to the depths of Torment once more.
- Collect Rogumon: You'll encounter dozens of Rogumon across your attempts to escape. Do your best to escape with all of them.
- Build your strength: Initially, you’ll be ill-suited for the malice Torment holds. But, with each run, you’ll acquire new means of overcoming its challenges. Unlock new items, Rogumon, and other ways of strengthening your team. Perhaps you might even find a way to convince the fearsome bosses that oppose you to rally to your cause…
- Develop relationships: Despite being cast from Paradise, you are certainly not alone – for better or for worse. Meet the other denizens of the afterlife, and learn more of their stories. Whether they wish to help you, hinder you, or both, you’ll discover more about them as you continue your escape attempts.

Played around an hour so far on the steam deck, some odd UI glitches requiring a restart of the game. Other them those this is a must play of you've played slay the spire or similar rogue-likes. Highly Recommend3 found this helpful
As someone who grew up playing Pokemon, this game is great. Easy to learn and fun. Would recommend!2 found this helpful
Very reminiscent of slay he spire and other deck/teambuilding rougelikes. There's a pretty wide range of workable strategies which is really cool to see!2 found this helpful
Rogumon is a turn-based combat roguelite with gameplay echoing Pokemon (in mechanics) and Shin Megami Tensei (in story and characters). It's easy to learn, so you don't have to spend time watching YouTube videos to know how to play it before you jump in, and it's simple rhythm allows you to play at any time, for any amount of time. It's also got enough combat mechanics for the more strategically-minded. The soundtrack is both fantastical and relaxing, and the capturable creature designs are reminiscent of Monster Galaxy.1 found this helpful
Rogumon is a delight to play, even as someone who doesn’t really play roguelikes. The instructions were clear enough for me to jump in and enjoy right away, and it was thrilling to make progress in the game. The world is really interesting with moody backgrounds and distinct character designs. My favorites were my cute Spinthri (little cactus guy) and my very cool Ellius (water dragon). The game is tough (all Roguelikes are tough for me lol), but Rogumon is VERY FAIR. I remember having some issues with blights so when I came across the item Multiblight (which would make me immune to several of the blights I was having trouble with) I was so happy! There are different systems going on which makes each round exciting and fresh. Can’t wait to continue and see what other creatures I can collect!
Been following this game since the demo. Cute art, and a good mix of challenge and payoff once you figure out strong teams. Pretty hard without meta progression, but meta progression is pretty fast to max out and not grindy.
