Saber Survivors is a twin-stick horde survival roguelite with somewhat unique gameplay. Rather than having an assortment of auto-attacks, your primary means of offense is to defend and most powers are tied to deflections. The game is light on content, relying on a long economy grind for longevity, but the main mechanics are solid enough to make it feel worth a purchase. Due to the nature of the game, practically every enemy uses ranged attacks. This makes the most basic of mobs significantly more dangerous than their counterparts in similar games. The challenge escalates even further when bosses show up. Their high damage makes them too dangerous to ignore, but concentrating on them alone will leave you open to attacks from the rest of the horde. The game has only 2 levels and both feature the same enemies with different skins. They do at least have unique hazards. The amount of attacks is relatively small, but they're different enough that it doesn't feel like much of an issue. That said, there does not appear to be a limit on how many you can take, and being able to potentially take everything on every run means you don't really get a sense of build variety. Game is okay, but please fix the achievements.
Very shallow. Only 2 maps, has the same enemy types on both of them with just re-skins. Farming money is tedious, can't re-roll upgrades that you get. One annoying part is each level of upgrade counts as a separate upgrade, so you can get filled up on upgrades and not even max out some of the things you've obtained. Most of the achievements do not work. It's fine for its price, but gets dull very fast. 6/10
