About Sable's Grimoire: Man And Elf
Note: this game is a sequel to Sable's Grimoire. However, this game also contains an option to add supplementary narration which explains events and terminology from the first game. There are also glossary and character screens which you can visit at any time. So while it is still recommended that you play the original first, it is not strictly required.
Sable's Grimoire is a visual novel series set in a fantasy world filled with magic and monsters. It follows the adventures of Sable, a young human who wants to become a magic researcher, during his time at Amadronia Academy.
Sable spends his everyday life at Amadronia surrounded by demi-humans, including elves, pixies, and succubi, as he learns more about this magical world and the creatures within it.
As their first year together at Amadronia Academy comes to an end, Lisha and Sable make plans to spend their upcoming break together in her home. An elven village far away from their noisy classmates, where they can enjoy the break in peace, and be alone together at last.
What awaits them at their destination, however, is not the holiday they had planned. Their time away is soon spoiled by news of recent kidnappings and graves being robbed. To make matters worse, these crimes are alleged to have been committed by a dark elf.
Keen to investigate these incidents, Sable and Lisha move from town to town as they encounter one shocking revelation after another: mind control, forbidden magic, a human town where magic is the norm, and another side to her father's past which Lisha knew nothing about.
With all of the chaos going on around them, is a tender moment between man and elf too much to wish for?

Amazing work. Absolutely loved the story and the characters were well written. I can't tell you how much this game means to me as well as every other game in the series. Personally this is my least favourite of the 4 sables grimoire games currently released, but that still places it as one of my all time favourite visual novels ever.
Sable’s Grimoire: Man And Elf is a fantasy visual novel developed and published by Zetsubou Games. Acting as a direct continuation of one of the romance routes from the original Sable’s Grimoire, the game shifts its focus toward the relationship between Sable, a human magician, and Lisha, an elf whose proud personality and emotional complexity made her a memorable character in the previous story. Rather than functioning as a simple epilogue, the game expands their journey into a full-length adventure that combines romance, mystery, and fantasy world-building. The story begins with what should have been a peaceful vacation. Sable accompanies Lisha to her secluded homeland, hoping to spend time together away from the pressures of academy life. However, their visit quickly takes a darker turn when troubling incidents begin to emerge throughout the village. Reports of kidnappings, grave robberies, and suspicious activity create an atmosphere of uncertainty, while rumors surrounding a mysterious dark elf ignite fear and prejudice among the local population. What starts as a quiet holiday gradually develops into an investigation that uncovers hidden secrets, ancient grudges, and dangero…
A new story for Sable and Lisha and their ever growing relationship. Not quite as dark as A Dragon's Treasure, but a definitely look into Lisha and Ein's past and still another great DLC for Sable's Grimoire.
Lisha in portuguese means "trash" or "sandpaper" That said, seeing different sides of a person does make you like them more. So, even if you didn't like Lisha in SG, you may grow to like her here. This story also felt way more wild and cruel than the rest of SG
I've only played this game for 3 hours as of my writing this, but so far it seems to be a very good continuation of the Lisha route from the original game. I like how the relationship between Sable and Lisha seems to be building and developing naturally instead of feeling forced. I'm looking forward to the rest of the game and seeing where the story goes from here with our tsundere elf.
9/10 purely for the fact that it made one of the people in the first game that was mid into best character.
