Saint Kotar: The Crawling Man

Cheap and short digital comic. But definitely well-made. It's a nice addition to Saints of Kotar. In fact, it probably won't make much sense on its own, it really is an addition to the game. Just keep in mind that unlike the main game this is basically a kinetic novel: It tells a tale, and the only interactivity is clicking to get to the next bit.

It is a very interesting comic that manages to combine Lovecraftian vibes with small town folklore characteristic for Croatia. The tale itself hit all the right marks of the Lovecraftian horror for me and extra effects (minor animation and occasional sound effects) really helped in setting the atmosphere. It is short but I would say it is fair given that the price is only 2 euros while at sales you can get it as low as 70 cents. Although I will say calling it "interactive" isn't really the most accurate description as you can only really slightly move camera of comic panel and set your own pace for flipping the pages, but still a good comic

Saint Kotar: The Crawling Man, developed and published by The-Mark Entertainment, is a deeply atmospheric and psychological horror adventure that immerses players in a dark, mysterious world filled with unsettling secrets and moral ambiguity. As a sequel and expansion to the original Saint Kotar, this installment builds upon the franchise’s foundation of eerie storytelling and slow-burning tension, delivering a narrative-driven experience that skillfully blends investigative gameplay with supernatural elements. It invites players to unravel a disturbing mystery in the isolated village of Sveti Kotar, where nothing is quite as it seems. The game’s story centers on protagonist Daniel Lazarski, a man haunted by his past and drawn to Sveti Kotar by cryptic messages and strange occurrences. From the outset, the narrative plunges players into a moody, unsettling atmosphere thick with religious symbolism, occult lore, and existential dread. The pacing is deliberate, encouraging exploration and reflection rather than quick bursts of action. As players navigate the bleak village and its surrounding environments, they uncover disturbing clues, interact with complex characters, and confront …

A 25 minutes' dark experience in Allen Poe style, a teaser leading to formal Saint Kotar game.

It's a decent tie in comic to the main game, it is without a doubt worth it.

Excellent companion to the main game. I especially enjoyed the modern comic book layout. Good stuff!
