About SIMULACRA 3

Evil welcomes you back in the third chapter of the critically acclaimed horror series, Simulacra. The once charming town of Stonecreek has seen better days. People are vanishing into thin air, leaving nothing behind but strange symbols where they were last seen. With the police baffled and the populace terrified, rumors swirl that it is the doing of the Beldam, the ghost of a witch that once haunted the streets of Stonecreek.

You are the intern at the local paper, tasked with assisting the town’s star journalist, Ruby Myers, on her investigation into the disappearances. Your only lead is the phone of the missing Paul Castillo, a software developer, an amateur historian of the town, and one of Ruby’s sources. While Ruby does the legwork, your job is to hack into Paul’s phone for any clues left behind. New apps, exciting features, and fresh terror await those who delve into the darkest corners of the digital realms as you investigate the Beldam of Stonecreek.

This is gonna contain spoilers but this game makes me so angry. Why did we kill off Jabbr and pretty much any of the other apps in the first two games?? It was so fun like hello you can't remove the apps that made the game feel like you were on an actual phone, and not to mention the dialogue is crap none of the characters even sound like real people and to add onto that THERE IS NO CHARACTERS, why are we stuck with Ruby for the entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? She isn't funny and honestly comes off as an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ during most of it. She's like a tutorial character that never shuts up. AND THE PUZZLES SUCK they are complicated to the extent where it's not enjoyable and there isn't even that many so how they managed to make the three puzzles you do feel complicated or straight up not challenging is BEYOND me. And honestly the game is such a downgrade from the first two you'd think this came before them both. Did we kill off the entire development studio from the first two games?? I'd call this a cash grab but it doesn't even feel like it wants money, just my hopes and dreams for the third game down the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Haven't finished it yet but it feels so dead and boring. Also the "monster" being 3d is ge…

It's the weakest Simulacra game, but its not just bad. There's some decent stuff, but it doesn't feel like it belongs with the others and should rather have been a standalone game in the same style, rather than presented as a direct sequel.

this game bored me so bad that i refunded it. It felt nothing like simulacra 1 and 2, both of which i enjoyed enough to play through twice by this point. There's not enough supporting characters and the simulacra is terrible compared to Pretender from 1 and Rippleman from 2. I do not suggest playing this game, it is not worth it.

It's not a terrible game, but compared to the first two, it feels like a step backward.

Maybe I'll change my mind after playing the whole game.

This game could have been an email. In all seriousness, the Simulacra antagonists having been getting worse and worse. I miss when they were interesting and complex characters rather than evil green screens. The Atlas system is cool tho.

After waiting so long I finally got around to playing this and I can say, the reviews I saw when this first released lied to me. I thought I would hate it but I actually had some fun and got attached to some of the character. I really liked the characters, their stories, and even the town's story. I fell in love with Stone Creek. I did get what I presume to be the best ending and I wouldn't have it any other way (other than maybe 100%ing in the future). The graphics/effects aren't great at times, the dialogue can be a bit flat or weird, some puzzles are a bit annoying, there are a few typos (however knowing how I type I feel that adds to the immersion), and I did experience one crash from staying tabbed out for too long. I can see why some people don't like the game, but just like Stone Creek the game has flaws and charms and I can appreciate it for what it is. The story to me is quite beautiful, while it doesn't have an as Impactful twist that Simulacra 1 does (nor as good horror or effects) I thought the characters and story were much better than Simulacra 2, although I wish there was more connection to those games than just a passing mention. this also could have been a bug but …
