The country is frozen in time, and together with your allies you fought your way through the castle and fought the King to put an end to this curse… And you died and found yourself right back at the entrance. Again. And again. And again.
But you’re the only one who remembers it; your allies are none the wiser. And there’s no end in sight.
You're fine though! Hiding your knowledge from your friends is easy! Fighting the same enemies is easy! Dying to the same final boss over and over again is easy!
You have to make sure your friends don't find out about the super fun time travel times you're having though.
They can't know.

It's an interesting story with engaging (if a little slow) combat, but my god, the writing. It's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad. It's like the creators are writing what they think a book sounds like. Every interaction reads like a Tumblr post, complete with a """realistic""" depiction of a panic attack. It's a bit of an idiot plot, too. The story relies on the character being the biggest hardass the world has ever seen. They clearly wanted the story to tell a message about the value of showing vulnerability, but the actions of the characters do not make sense outside of that metaphor.

START AGAIN very beautiful. Not much different from ISAT, but just enough juicy lore to be worth the play. Some unique dialogue sprinkled throughout. Battle mechanic slightly harder, but good challenge.
I only bought this after the actual game to get a better look at my favorite blorbos. Safe to say, I was not disappointed. I really should have considered purchasing this sooner, but I got distracted playing it's finished counterpart- In stars and time. My laptop sucks, so I'll excuse how the game made it crash every time I entered a battle/j (Edit: going in and out of the game several times fixed this issue, I think.) Anyways, I love the game, the sprites, and the story! 10/10 recommend :)
TLDR: Great game but not at full price I played this before the next game thats the most well know, even tough i knew the premise i was suprised how well this hooked me in. i do suggest that you get this game when its not full price since its current price might be a little to much for it right now. edit*: i forgot to mention that the graphics are pretty bad if youre playing in a higher resulution that the game doesnt support
Incredible little prototype for In Stars and Time with heaps of dialogue and little things to see. The combat is a bit tough, I felt the need to grind just a little bit to make things easier but I very much enjoyed the Rock, Paper, Scissors dynamic. I hope the enemy variety in the full game is a little larger, as you fight the same 4ish enemies in this a few dozen times. But the few enemies you do fight each have a unique strategy required to defeat them, keeping you on your toes.
