✦ AI summary
Players appreciate the game's simple premise and low price point, delivering straightforward sudoku puzzles without unnecessary tools. However, both reviewers agree on a critical flaw: the puzzles don't follow proper sudoku logic, often containing multiple valid solutions instead of the single correct solution that defines true sudoku, forcing players to guess rather than solve deductively.
I am giving this a very, very ambivalent tepid thumbs up, at a $2.99 price point. It does what it says, sudoku puzzles with no tools. Difficulty levels correspond simply to the number of filled cells per puzzle. My big complaint is that these are not what I think of as "true" sudoku puzzles. That is, puzzles which have one, and only one possible solution. But these puzzles tend to take you to a point where two digits can be entered almost at random across the grids and still reach a "correct" solution. Not my thing.4 found this helpful
Moderately useful. But one huge flaw. Each game is NOT unique. Each has more than one solution. Which makes it impossible to solve logically. You will inevitably reach a point where you just have to guess. Often it won't matter what you guess, because either way will lead to one of the several solutions. So, if you don't mind that, then it's a decent game.1 found this helpful
