About Super Algebrawl
Super Algebrawl is a byte-sized tactics puzzle RPG where you control a boar king with magical mathematical powers! The king can add up and multiply his animal underlings to match whatever enemy opposes him! He is on a quest for glory, slaying the horrible monsters that plague the animal realm, and recruiting valiant heroes to add up to his numbers.
Every encounter is a puzzle to be solved with logic and simple algebra! Get access to more mathematical operations as you progress, expand your party, and gain special powers, so that you may manipulate your party's values to match the enemies'. If all else fails, the boar king can fight too... But if he loses all his health it's game over.
The game features 3 different areas to complete, each with their unique monsters and boss to beat, with 4 difficulty modifiers which you can toggle on or off before starting an area. The game plays entirely with the mouse and it typically takes about 20 minutes to complete an area.

Actually this game is pretty good for refreshing your maths skills and teaching them as well... But to play the game... You better know how to do maths! At first I had no idea wth to do. There are no instructions on screen. So I just messed around and figured it out. The game gives you scrolls that let you do math equations + special spells. Just take down the enemies. But...! Make sure your "number" is the same as the enemy or face corruption upon choosing a bigger number than the enemy itself. Along the way you will pick up more scrolls/fighters and do even more maths. I mean the rest is self-explanatory. I am not needed here anymore. I ain't doing maths for ya. Learn it yourself!!! Ah but the game is simple and hard at the same time. It's rogue-like too, so... You get the point. :>2 found this helpful
This game reminds me of when I played math blaster as a kid. If you like doing maths, you will like this game.1 found this helpful
i feel a little bad about requesting a refund for so little money, but this game just wasnt what i thought it was going to be. my main problem with it is that you have to make your units EXACTLY the same amount as the enemy to beat it, otherwise if your unit is stronger it's going to be corrupted and turned into an enemy. second problem is that the game is just a little too slow and awkward to navigate for this kind of gameplay, it would have to be way snappier for my liking. and lastly on top of my first critique is that i wish it was the kind of game where my units and spells didnt refresh after each battle, but rather i would have to scrounge and be really strategic about which rewards to pick after battle or maybe a more traditional card battle deck and draw system. i've got many other ideas for what i wish this game could be, but you get the point.1 found this helpful
yay
it's not like i have anything professional to say about this game otherwise, but you could seriously, Seriously stand to nerf certain enemies' health values. merely Existing in a swamp and coming into an Impossible encounter (even with all assists turned On) against one or more many-eyed skin creatures? what the actual hell. but otherwise i did enjoy chilling out by this game every now and then (maybe i still will?) and my mom and i think it's a pretty neat source of edutainment
Super Algebrawl, developed and published by PUNKCAKE Délicieux, is a clever indie experiment that manages to turn basic algebra into the foundation of a tactical, roguelike-inspired experience. On the surface, it presents itself like a lighthearted pixel-art strategy game, but beneath that playful exterior lies a system where numbers, operations, and logic take the place of traditional combat mechanics. Instead of relying on attacks and damage values, the game asks players to think mathematically, transforming each encounter into a puzzle where success depends on how well you manipulate values to match or overcome your opponents. The core gameplay revolves around controlling units that each carry a numerical value. Enemies also present values, and your goal is to use operations—such as addition, multiplication, duplication, or division—to adjust your numbers until they align with or surpass those of your targets. This creates a loop that feels less like fighting and more like solving equations under pressure. Despite the abstract nature of the system, the game does an excellent job of making it intuitive. Early encounters are simple and easy to understand, allowing players to gras…
