Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD

Not bad but vastly inferior next to Banana Mania. The boss fights are the main drag, with nearly of them being awful. That combined with a lack of levels (only 100 and only 82 of those being proper stages) and its brief. I will give credit to the stage design and the jump mechanic, which do work well, and the multiplayer modes are quite fun.

The Dark Souls of Sega, fun game alot of different routes, bosses r kinda gimmicky but it's fun on sale.

It's ok. If you heard about how horrible Banana Blitz is (like I did) and how the HD remake is a little better, just get it on sale so you can experience it for yourself. The biggest problem is how boring the courses are as a monkey in a ball. If you told me this was Bubsy 4D or some 3D Super Mario title then you could get away with it, but here, there is little point to the ball. Also, if you want to complete all the courses, just use YanYan for everything because they are designed around jumping and YanYan is the best jumper. Most of the minigames are just ok too except for Dangerous Route which is in fact fire and would be a blast with friends. The music overall is also just ok except for where they pulled it from SMB1/2 and that's a lot better. If you look very closely you can see how BBHD was intentionally very ok because it was meant to test the waters prior to Banana Mania. In conclusion, don't except anything more than an ok experience, but it's worth the $6 if you've exhausted all the other SMB games. Just realized this, but the font they use for everything is the kind they use in fancy Italian restaurants. BE WARNED!

not my monkey ball. no manual camera, terrible controls that would mark the beginning of the end of sega caring about control in monkey ball games. replaced music. avoid.

i played it on the gamecube years ago its think tilt maze but with monkey in ball rolling thru the maze and boss fights

I want to like this game because of nostalgia but i dont think ive played a game with a worse camera in my life
