What Steam players say

Players praise the game's beautiful world design, compelling build system inspired by Titan Quest and Skyrim, and the sense of a living open world with day/night cycles, calling it a hidden gem with character and interesting mechanics. However, common complaints center on poor balance between character archetypes where ranged builds trivialize content while melee struggles, an uneven difficulty curve that swings from punishing to trivial, rough presentation that feels unfinished, and limited quest variety that doesn't provide meaningful player choice despite the deep skill tree.
Had a massively long and successful run, decided to explore the water. Apparently it was a mistake. I don't know why you bother having water and swimming in the game it's a glitchy mess. The camera constantly flicks up/down, my character changes between swimming and "walking on the ocean floor." Night came, game spawned a giant horde of demons ALSO under the water walking on the ocean floor with me, couldn't see them only hear the ungodly loud noises while I tried to maneuver back to shore. Got stuck on invisible ocean floor walls, died. Started new character, went to AT LEAST try to get my ♥♥♥♥ back, I see my corpse floating in the ocean, can't loot it. Game thinks it's on the ocean floor. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess, either test this ♥♥♥♥ or don't even put it in the game, smh.1 found this helpful
this game is such a breath of fresh air! 10/10 recommend! Gameplay is super fun, and the death mechanic is quite refreshing! I found the story engaging, and the world compelling. The world actually felt alive, and my choices felt like they mattered and made a difference. If you are looking for an RPG that just does things right - go ahead and pick this game up!1 found this helpful
A ton of fun and has a rich world. The game clearly has a lot of passion, time, and heart put into it. Really interesting ideas and gameplay mechanics, I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I bought the game and its expansion on sale, no regrets. It's a super unique piece of art.1 found this helpful
This game is a pure gem. I am loving everything so far. If you played and liked Balrum, you will love this.
It has a nice old school feel. I also like the nomad soul aspect, when one body dies you have to use another one. its not frustrating like hardcore mode if you die its over, but it makes you care about staying alive more.
Pretty solid CRPG with an interesting mechanic, but it does drag on especially around the end. Good for seasoned players - avoid if you dislike constantly switching up characters.
