What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the game's story and music as standouts within the series, with some calling it the best entry in the Sword & Fairy franchise and among the finest Chinese RPGs. However, complaints center on rough gameplay mechanics, excessive grinding, overly punishing difficulty spikes especially in crafting systems, and tedious maze and combat sections that detract from the experience. Technical issues are also noted, including character display problems on certain platforms.
The game took me about 30 hours, I used the resolution patch with Locale Emulator so it did not track my hours correctly. The story is better than 2, 3, 3a, not as good as one. With the conclusion of this, I have now completed 1, 2, 3, 3a, 4, 5, 5a, 6, and 7. I rate this game 3.5/5, the mazes and combat is almost as painful as 3a, the story is better, the music is better, the plot is better than 3a. The gameplay is pretty rough, extremely grindy, and overly difficult with the crafting aspect. My final tier: 1 > 4 = 7 > 6 > 5a > 3a > 3=5 > 26 found this helpful
剧情真好
Definitely the best piece in the Sword & Fairy series ever.
