I played this game in 2009 and loved it. It was one of a handful of indie games from that that time which inspired me to learn how to code. Glad to see it on Steam.10 found this helpful
Before getting to my feedback, keep in mind I might be a bit biased because I beat the original release of this game many years ago, multiple times. I am very fond of this game, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an unusual, classic-style RPG, given they are willing to look past some jank. A playthrough takes 20-30h, a bit more for the true ending. In my opinion, it's truly a gem of the OHRRPGCE (the engine it's built on) community, but is not for everyone, and many aspects are dated by today's standards, so I'll list my criticisms first before we get to the positives: [list] [*] Accessibility is unfortunately a major problem for this and and many other game made in its engine. The entire experience is a photo-sensitivity hazard, with quick blinking lights, text during battles that appears for a split second, a stylized font that cannot be changed, etc. This makes battles especially annoying to understand at first, you might see flying text such as "^ Str" and not know what it means. [*] This release still has some bugs, although less than older releases, and nothing particularly game-breaking in my experience.
