"Tekling" is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. It's worth mentioning this game was developed by the special needs adults at the non-Pareil institute and it's commendable that they worked hard and developed a video game with 70 levels. This is a commendable effort, but I must preface this review with a reminder that my reviews are not written for developers, but rather, for gamers, and reflect only on the value that product as it stands for gamers. Platforming is an old, mostly dead genre, and this lacklustre experience, while it doesn't have an upfront cost, isn't saving the genre... it's no surprise this failed to capture any attention from gamers in the era of immersive 3D gaming. Цель игры – соединять падающие блоки одного цвета, чтобы очистить игровое поле, но чем дальше продвигаешься, тем быстрее они падают, создавая настоящий хаос! Визуальный стиль минималистичный, но приятный глазу, а электронная музыка отлично дополняет динамичный процесс. Управление интуитивно понятное, что позволяет с легкостью освоить механику игры. Несмотря на кажущуюся простоту, игра предлагает достаточно высокий уровень сложности, который бросает вызов игрокам. 'Tekling' – прекрасный выбор для тех, кто ищет короткие и увлекательные сессии, чтобы скоротать время, или для тех, кто хочет испытать свои рефлексы и умение быстро принимать решения.
