What Steam players say

Players consistently praise the game's gorgeous art style with unique regional designs, excellent music, and charming feel-good atmosphere that makes it an enjoyable casual experience. The battle system with companion mechanics that encourage improvisation and adaptation stands out as a highlight, though some note that once you master the system, battles can become less challenging. The game offers a short, relaxing 12-20 hour experience with a simple story and likeable characters, though character development is fairly basic and the overall narrative lacks dramatic tension.
Terra Memoria leverages a visible timeline to turn every encounter into a complex exercise in tactical manipulation. Players actively influence the turn order by delaying enemies or pushing them back with specific skills, creating a rewarding loop that prioritises foresight and careful party management over simple damage output. Duo formations further refine the strategic options available by allowing supporting characters to modify the active member’s abilities in meaningful ways. Transforming an attack into a healing burst or adding multi-target capabilities through these paired skill combinations ensures that combat feels dynamic and consistently fresh throughout the entire campaign. Resting at camps serves as the central progression pillar where characters level up and refine their stats. This quiet moment provides an opportunity to engage in a cooking mini-game, which uses gathered ingredients to provide permanent health bonuses that strengthen the entire party for the challenges lying ahead. Automatic health restoration after each skirmish removes the tedious need to play cautiously or farm for restorative supplies. By eliminating the typical grind for consumables, t…
First of all, this game is gorgeous! Congratulations on the artstyle, it looks amazing! Every region actually feels unique and not just a pallet swap. Second, the music is real good! Well done on that front too! It's been a pleasant ride from beginning to end and I enjoyed every bit of the music! The battle mechanic has to be my favorite aspect of this game! I like the fact that the companions actually changes how your characters behave! I let them go random all game, and the battles weren't a monotonous cycle of skills that works. You have to improvise and think, allow for less damage for more control over the battle, then go nuts when it's time! The only drawback I have with this game is ALSO in the battle system: When you know how to make the most of it, the battles becomes easy. The difficulty has to be kicked up a notch. That's the ONLY thing I can say that could be a turn-off for some seasoned players, but for those who wants a good story and ACTUALLY ENJOY GRINDING LEVELS (Yeah, it happens, guys!), then this game is absolutely for them! Overall, an absolute must. It's well worth experiencing, and thank you Devs! I enjoyed every bit of it! :)
Great starter JRPG! This is a short, sweet and simple turn based RPG that you can knock out in a weekend. I'll go into a bit of detail so you know what to expect as it wasn't quite what I was expecting but that's for better than worse. I'd say it takes 12-15 hours for a straight forward play through but it took me 20 for a completion run. All achievements extremely easy to get and none are missable. Story, world and characters: Very basic twist on a sort of Final Fantasy like story line but not a huge part of the game. The individual character storiers are also simple and not overly fleshed out. None of them stand out too much except for Meta. The world and vibe is very positive and light with the antogonists or monsters creating barely any sense of danger or doom. RPG Gameplay: -3 active characters for battle -3 characters for battle support effects but do not directly participate in combat -There's a turn order bar -Each character gets up to 4 skills to use in combat (8 in total but they come in pairs and only one version can be used till changed outside of battle). -Skill all either do elemental damage or heal. -Some skills are solo targe…
Calm nice relaxing jrpg w/ a good art style.
I've only gone through the tutorial, but this is probably one of the most relaxing games I've ever played. Part of me wonders if this is what Ironclaw would look like as a video game? *hint* *hint*
