About The Alien Cube
(The Outer Middle Show)You wake up, bathed in sweat: you’ve been having bad dreams again. The strange cave, the occult symbols, the ritual site… and then that whispering, cube-shaped artifact falling from the sky — it all seemed so real. But now you are awake, and true reality hits like a bucket of cold water: the breakup with Jenny, the move, your uncle Edgar's mysterious disappearance… The doorbell catches you off guard: it is a letter, a testament from no less than your uncle, leaving you his apartment and a warning to get rid of all his manuscripts. It is time to finally go there and try to find some clues. What you don't know yet is that this search will unchain a series of terrifying revelations, secrets that should stay buried forever, and that your worst nightmares will soon come out into the light of day.

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players appreciate this cosmic horror adventure for its atmospheric Lovecraftian storytelling, smooth performance, and visually appealing graphics that effectively build dread and tension. However, some find the pacing excessively slow with limited interactivity, feeling more like tedious walking than engaging exploration, though fans of the genre generally find it worthwhile despite the linear structure.
Lovecraftian games are the best <3
Fun cosmic horror experience. Sometimes it felt like being in a Thomas Ligotti story, other times it felt like being in The Whisperer in the Darkness. Fun if you like that sort of thing!
It's a great interactive fantasy novel! The story isn't spectacularly original, but I really liked the way it is told. The graphics are decent enough to get the job done - nice to see the cryengine put to good use. Nothing to complain!
Better than the first one, Land of Pain. More eye candy. Hopefully the next one actually does something with the story to make you give a crap.
loved this, so beautifully graphically, ran very smooth, no fps drops, there is a creeping dread with this game, very lovecraftian, just what i needed
This had to be the slowest paced game I have ever played. Boring AF. I like a good walking simulator/puzzle game, but this was the pits. After an hour of walking around, I finally gave up out of boredom. Very few things to actually interact with, most of them locked or inactive. There's tension and suspense, this was frustrating and very linear.
