About The Anomaly Detective
HALLUCINATION OR EVIDENCE?
As you walk down the hallway, you will encounter bizarre anomalies, shape-shifting objects, and disturbing visions. Do not panic.
- Close Your Eyes: When you feel something is wrong, close your eyes (B Key). Wait a few seconds in the dark, take a breath, and rest your mind.
- See the Truth: The things that disappeared when you opened your eyes were just your mind playing tricks on you. But if there are objects that are still there or have changed despite opening your eyes... Those are your real evidence, and they need to be photographed!
MAINTAIN YOUR SANITY
Under this much pressure, your mind will get exhausted. Light a cigarette to restore your dropping sanity, regain focus, and get rid of the hallucinations. Just like the old-school detectives...
NEITHER JUST ANOMALY NOR CLASSIC DETECTIVE
The game blends anomaly-finding mechanics with deduction-based detective elements perfectly in half:
- Start the day by reading briefings from your colleague, Cole.
- No face-to-face conversations with suspects. Spy on rooms through half-open doors and witness their lives from afar.
- Piece together the evidence you've gathered on your detective board and make your own deductions.
WHO WILL YOU BLAME? (6 SUSPECTS, 1 DECISION)
The Anomaly Detective never serves you the truth on a silver platter; it only provides the evidence. The clues you gather will lead you to one of the 6 different suspects. Depending on how you interpret the data on your board, who you choose is entirely up to you. Trust your observation skills and make your decision.

A NOTE FROM THE DEVELOPER
Hello! I am a solo indie developer who created this game single-handedly. It is very important to me to manage your expectations correctly before you buy the game:
- How Should You Play?: There are nearly 30 anomalies waiting to be discovered in the game. There are different ending dialogues that change based on the choices you make. However, for a complete experience, I recommend finishing the game in one sitting, and to see the other endings, play it again with some time in between.
- Future Plans: Right after the release, my priority will be to fix critical bugs (if any are found). Then, I plan to enrich the content pool by adding new anomalies to the game with small patches.
What Steam players say

This affordable short horror game combines murder mystery investigation with well-crafted hallucination mechanics that require closing your eyes to survive, encouraging multiple playthroughs to uncover more scares and evidence. Players appreciate the creative anomaly system and the flexibility to either gather more clues or make their accusation when ready, though some feel the hallucinations could be more frequent and note occasional environmental changes that aren't properly integrated as anomalies.
https://youtu.be/0QEUZIHSpm0 This was a really cool short horror game especially for the price. It's mainly a murder mystery with side notes of anomalies. There are two kinds of anomalies the evidence that will appear in each room and the hallucinations that you need to close your eyes to avoid. The hallucinations were really well done but a bit to scarce in my opinion but I think that's okay since the idea is that you will play this multiple times so you will see more as you play. I did notice a few changes in the environment like an extra trashcan and suitcase but neither were anomalies which was strange. Gonna keep this vague but in the end if you are unsure who the killer is you can choose to keep playing to collect more evidence or just lock in your answer so there seems to be a good amount of replay ability. I say for the price if you are a fan of murder mysteries or anomalies then check this one out.5 found this helpful
