About The Last FARMER

In a world where civilization has long since disappeared, “The Last Farmer” invites you to engage in a struggle to revive a land drained of its vitality. Set in the forgotten reaches of Texas, where life once thrived, your mission is to survive and attempt to bring even a shadow of the world’s former glory back.

The world around you is full of dangers, and the main threat is the zombies. There are many of them, ranging from slow and clumsy to fast and deadly. These creatures are a constant menace, one you can't easily escape. But even they can be of use: zombies can be processed into fertilizer, helping you restore the fertility of the dead land.

Your primary tool for survival in this desolate world is the farm you build and develop. Growing crops becomes the foundation of your existence, with water drawn from a lake to irrigate the land. Every seed planted is a step toward restoring this forsaken soil. Livestock also play a crucial role, providing meat for sustenance and manure for improving the soil.

But farming is only part of survival. You'll need to craft tools and firearms to defend yourself and maintain your farm. Resources can be processed into biofuel, which is vital for keeping your operation running and surviving in this harsh world.

One of the key mechanics is assembling a vehicle. By scavenging parts scattered across the map, you can piece together a car that will become your reliable companion in this chaos. The vehicle will help you explore the land, and its trunk can be used to store looted resources. Additionally, it becomes a weapon against the zombies—run them down! At night, you can turn on the headlights to light your way, and if you need a break, you can listen to the radio.

Along the way, you'll encounter corrupt military forces, whose motives are always questionable. Sometimes they may help, but more often, they'll bring new challenges. Traces of other survivors still surface, but the question remains: are they real, or merely remnants of old legends?

“The Last Farmer” is more than just a survival story. It’s a journey through an empty world, where every step could be your last. Can you restore life to a place where it might no longer be possible? Or will the wasteland swallow you, as it has done to everyone else?

This game is quite fun. A little rough around the edges, but definitely scratches the zombie survival search and loot itch. I like some of the inspirations taken from Far Cry. The military camps that can be taken down, the variety of locations, and the overall feel is done well. If they could add co-op it would be next level. Highly recommend.

The game The Last Farmer is riddled with flaws, from game-breaking glitches like zombies walking through walls to basic mechanics being broken—you can’t even farm properly. Blueprints frequently disappear, there’s no story, and the instructions are severely lacking. The open world is incredibly small, even smaller than a Fortnite map, and it lacks both multiplayer modes and Steam add-ons. To top it off, the graphics are so poor it feels like you're running the game on a potato. The only redeeming quality is that it is technically a game, although collecting trophies is an unpleasant and repetitive grind. Beyond that, there are no positive aspects to be found. This can be refined into a formal review for platforms like Steam or Metacritic if needed.

only 3 hours of gameplay as of this review. Although the store page shows the game as a full game, it looks like it was abandoned while still in Alpha and simply marked as finished so that steam would not pull it from the store when the Developer stopped updating it. Many problems plague the game, Zombies destroy everything you build outside the garage, so no point in building, raiders can shoot through walls so no way to hide. collision is messed up, some items have large collision boxes around them so you can't get close, you also can not sink objects into terrain objects, so you end up with gaps between walls you build and rocks. no snap points for things you build, so when placing walls, if the ground goes up some the wall will angle and be blocked by the other wall rather than sinking into the ground and snapping to the existing wall. if you are driving and turn the steering wheel, the car keeps going straight even on the road. you have to stop the car to make it turn. inventory space is low and the stack size are small. tool break fast. poor graphics. early combat consists of simply hit-block-hit-block, if you attempt to hit twice in a row you will miss every time and the z…
