The Last Road

The Last Road is beautifully written lore driven game with four endings. Between balancing an inventory and various health aspects it is addictive to try over and over again. The game doesn't hand you an easy ending, it will challenge your resources and decision making. My one wish for the game is to see a Morale meter come in. There are so many excellent moments that would shake anyone's boots or provide them relief; a meter to emphasise those moments could also impact the speed of deteriation of other meters. Other than my wish for another meter to manage, this game has depth and beautiful hand-drawn pixel artwork. Congratulations Crow Station on a fantastic first release.

This game is a fun concept , oddly calming yet tense . Definately recommend this for those who like the retro Atari aesthetic and a unique premise.

This was a fantastic game where I felt my choices really mattered. I had to weigh each scenario against my resources to see if I had what it took to survive. Sometimes I didn't! Really amazing lore that feels eldritch and otherworldly shines through the narrative. I hope you pick up this game and enjoy!

I'm so enjoying this game! The storytelling is engaging, and I had to work at putting the pieces together to get the specific ending I was aiming for. Even once I got the hang of some of the mechanics, I was still at the edge of my seat as sometimes the RNG can completely change the position you're in, and even if you think you're doing well, that can change quickly with a little bad luck. Very engaging, and I LOVE the art style and the story. Can't wait to see more from this indie developer, and you can bet that I'm going to work at getting the last 2 endings! I highly reccomend to anyone who likes spooky stories and exploring fantasy worlds.

The game lets you uncover an interesting story in media res without really explaining much of anything at the start. I enjoy that. Graphics and sound are very simple, but they do what they need to do. The Last Road keeps me thinking about the choices I am making even thoug there is event repetition which is pretty successful design I think.

Phenomenal! The intriguing lore and writing immediately pulled me in, and the atmosphere is superbly crafted with immersive visuals and sound. You can bet I'll be going back for all the endings!
