About Cursed Road Convoy
Have your convoy fight its way through the post-apocalyptic outback wasteland in turn-based battles for resources. Loot the losers and improve your convoy. Survive until you reach civilization or perish along the way.
Command your convoy of vehicles in challenging battles against warbands that are roaming the outback. Throughout the game these battles will grow from small skirmishes between a couple of cars to full blown battles between dozens of war rigs.
Loot the vehicles, weapons, defences, people, and resources of the warbands you defeated. Expand the number of vehicles in your convoy. Customize each vehicle with weapons, defences, and passengers.
Attack and loot warbands and settlements in the outback to obtain the supplies and fuel to keep on driving. Steer clear of warbands to dangerous to attack and pick off the ones that you can beat. Run out of supplies and your convoy might turn against you. Run out of fuel and go nowhere anymore.
Reach the fabled Megapolis in the east to escape your horrid existence in the outback. Barterers say you can buy yourself a good life there. The bigger your convoy, the higher your reward.

It's messy, and rough around the edges, but what you got here is a genuine passion project fueled by grit. If you're willing to put in the work and be a little patient, this game is tons of fun and oozes charm as long as you don't take it too seriously. I feel bad that I've waited this long to give it a review, but for what it's worth I've been coming back to this game for three years now and it's still as fun (and sometimes frustrating) as I remember. This game is a real puzzle for me. The game has a lot of bugs, and I have to restart the game every 20 minutes, because some menu or car stuck. But the game is soo fun... At first, I thought this is a jank cash grab, but than there is so much effort in it, that it can't be. At the moment, I have 8 hours in this lovely jank fest, and I will play it more. It is gives very strong Car Wars vibes, and when the battles became bigger, there is a big strategy to it. I hope the developer will support this game and the game became more stable, because it has a strong gameplay core, with huge Funn factor. Before you by: - The game currently, is buggy as hell, but restarting the game is a snap. - The interface is very basic, no real options, and it can be super hard to get used to it. - No tutorial, if you do not have experiance with hex battle games, you will have issues. - The game is so much funn, for me at least. Car Wars, Mad Max. It has all the feels. - All upgrades are visible on your car. Even the crew is king of uniq. Do you like Mad Max? Do you like turn based strategy? Can you look past lovingly crafted jank? This may be a game for you. Despite some of the jank and opaque UI choices, this is an impressive game from a solo dev, with a lot of charm and attention to detail. It takes me back to 90's games in a lot of ways. I've gotten 10 bucks worth of joy out of it.2 found this helpful
The gameplay loop is pretty addicting. Once you figure out which cars have the most offensive slots, the fights get easier. Bikes are a trap for noobs, Murks and Interceptors all the way!
looking for a turn based game like the Battle Isle games or advanced wars? well then this one might be what you need to get you turn based fix in. its a pretty straight forward game moving from point A to B with multiple baddies in between. It can take a little bit to get used to the different weapons and movement but the developer has a video tutorial in the steam discussion section that can help with a lot of that beginner stuff. I think that this game could still use some tweaks here and there but that hasn't stop me from enjoying the game, i look forward to future polishing of the game but will continue to enjoy it as is until then.
Encounter some bugs during combat, when the last enemy near dead or it escape off the map, the game will hang. It happen many times for me. Discouraged after half hour hard fight and near win.
