so the ai cheats. It doesn't matter who you play as there will be one ai cranked all the way up on optimized gameplay and luck cheating. There's not really difficulty selection or anything, so if you don't have anyone to play with you should probably not get this game. It also doesn't help that same characters, same deck, same board. Like that's fine, but it leaves a lot to be desired when there's not really a lot to the game. I'd nearly recommend just getting tabletop sim just because this isn't really an interesting enough of a game to worth getting as its own dedicated thing.2 found this helpful

This is basically a digital version of the same board game, which is a faithful digital and physical adaptation of the franchise’s lore that prioritizes atmosphere over complex strategy. You could call It a light adventure game. Whether you play the physical board game or the digital version, the presentation is stunning. The rules are straightforward, making it an excellent gateway game for introducing newcomers to designer board games. But sometimes it can feel like a "multiplayer solitaire" where you mostly pursue your own goals independently of others; after some play it can get stale, I wouldn't argue that; many game board games only exist to promote a game, and they can get boring very fast. Conclusion: if you are a die-hard fan of The Witcher looking for a…1 found this helpful
It's a Triss Merigold always win simulator. Nothing you can do as a player to beat a cheating AI.1 found this helpful
This is a shockingly decent board game, even if nothing about is really tied strongly with the stories or the mainline games. It's initinally janky and weird, but after a few tries you can have quite a lot of fun with it.
great little game as a side activity if you do something else or watch something. easy to start, easy to stop and continue another time due to autosaves.
